Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hi everyone, I'm buying 55" LED TV and an AV Amplifier. both of them having 110v..my question is that the transformer has only one 110v output, so can I use the splitter to split to the output 110v socket of transformer into two and use it for both TV and amplifier..

A: Yes - both outputs may be used at the same time.

Q: 2. Warrenty

A: Don't need, thx. It works perfectly

Q: 3. What appliances can or cannot be plugged in this transformer?

A: It all depends on the appliance power or Watts. For security reasons, multiply appliance Watts number by 3. In case it's lower than 5,000 then it's safe to use the transformer. I'm using it with a coffee machine I brought from Switzerland which has 1,600W.

Q: 4. What are the specs? How heavy? What is the LxWxH?

A: I don't see a weight listed on the unit. It's rather heavy, say, 12-15 lbs?

Q: 5. Does this unit have a residual power draw whether anything is plugged into it or not?

A: If the Sevenstar TC-5000 Step Up/Step Down Transformer (5,000W) BH #SETC5000 i plugged in and turned on, then it will draw a small amount of power. If it is turned off, it does not draw power.

Q: 6. Hello, I would like to know what is the maximum amount of Amps that this unit can carry? I plan to connect it to an APC UPS that is designed for 110 Voltage Input but I am residing in the Philippines and the Voltage here is 220 Volts. I then plan to connect up to 5 external hard drives to the UPS. I know they draw very low current but I need to know to be safe before purchasing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You. John

A: The Sevenstar TC-2000 Step Up/Step Down Transformer (2,000W) would be 9.09 Amps on 220v to the UPS on the Sevenstar TC-2000 Step Up/Step Down Transformer (2,000W).

Q: 7. How much this adapter weight?

A: The Simmod ARRI PL to FUJINON X Cine Pro Adapter weighs 1lb.

Q: 8. I'm going down to Antigua for the winter where the power is 230v. If I buy this, will I be able to run my lg portable ac unit? It's single phase, 60Z at 115v

A: The Sevenstar TC-3000 Step Up/Step Down Transformer (3,000W) BH #SETC3000 will support it as long as you do not surpass 3000 watts.

Q: 9. What are the specs? How heavy? What are the measurements LxWxH?

A: About 10-15 lbs , foot long, 10 in wide , 7-8 in high

Q: 10. What's the weight?

A: Most stepup and down transformer in that category are a ove 40lbs and it within that range. This one in particular has a feature that that have an input voltage which is different from the ones i used previouoly

[Aluminum] Fits perfectly on my Lumix L mount camera and enables me to use a wide variety of true Cinema lenses. Been a charm to use

[Aluminum] I own (and love) my newer Blackmagic Design 6k camera with full frame sensor and Leica L mount. I also have a number of wonderful new and old Zeiss PL mount fixed cinema lenses. (18mm - 200mm) So when I saw this adapter for sale at B&H, along with a good review of it, I took the plunge. I am not disappointed.

With this adapter, a fairly heavy Zeiss lens with ARRI PL mount, like their CP.2 25mm for example, hangs off the Blackmagic camera with no discernible wiggle. The lens goes on and off a bit tight, but hey, that's what I wanted. It looks great too, with excellent machining and black surface coating.

Note that — nothing to do with this excellent adapter itself — my oldest 1970s vintage Zeiss Super-16 lenses, while still producing great images, do vignette at the image corners, from 9mm to 16mm when the Blackmagic camera is set to FF 6k, exactly as I expected. But I could not have verified that without this Simmod adapter. Note also that simply changing the Blackmagic camera setting to capture a more restrictive Super-35 4k size, allowed more of my older PL mount Super-16 lenses to be used. The lens coating on those older Zeiss is not quite as nice as the newer CP.2 or CP.3 but still hard to see much difference in most lighting conditions. Again, this Simmod adapter allowed me to test all this.

[Screw] I've tried a few different PL mount adapters of varying prices from low to high. I can say with certainty that this is one of the best I've ever used. It has great machining, tight tolerances with no play when locked in. The lens feel supported and secure with the handful of lens sets I've tried. I have used other Simmod products in the past and have been happy so far with the quality of everything. I highly recommend giving this a try.

[Screw] The brass step up rings are much easier to work with than the cheaper versions. If you're swapping filters more than one a month, brass is worth it.

[Aluminum] Bought it to use on a 24-70 f/y Nikon S lens so I could use the same filter size used on my 70-200 f/4 lens. It has been on ever since with no issues.

[77 mm] Great brass step-up ring. I have several--all brass--by Sensei. All work well.

[Aluminum] I have so many vintage lenses and I want to convert them all into LPL mount. And I love and trust Simmod. This adapter is expensive, yes, should it worth this much? No. But it’s made of very high quality materials. Not sure if it’s the L mount or this adapter but it wiggles just a tiny bit. Tiny but it’s there. Doesn’t bother me. My next step will be getting their conversion kit for FD SSC lenses. Then this expensive purchase will become more valuable. Also, super happy that Simmod partnered with BH! This way I can get all the simmod parts, accessories with free shipping and no tax with Payboo!

[Aluminum] Having dealt with adapters over many years, you know that nothing comes close to a PL mount (don't get me started on positive lock EF, not even close... plus even Canon has kicked EF to the curb). LPL now takes PL and makes it literally bigger and better. For whatever reason, changing PL lenses always took a while to get it to sit in perfect for the lock to work, but so far with LPL it's been a piece of cake every time. Maybe that's an added bonus thanks to the rear guide? Anyhow, you may be thinking well the LPL to L is still a click-in adapter to the camera body. Correct, but Ron has created a collar that allows you to bolt the collar down to a plate along with the camera cage, then tighten the collar on the adapter and it's not moving. To be honest, even without the collar, these mounts are super accurate, so very little play with them to start with, but the collar just locks everything down tight. I always hated when using a follow focus (especially a focus motor) and every time you made an adjustment it shifted the lens in the mounts. Even the tiniest bit of movement showed up in the shot, so when you have two weak points, you get a lot of movement when you throw in some torque. With this setup, any movement between the lens and camera is now completely gone. I bought 4 LPL to L mounts and collars, instantly you should realize that is a big investment, but 100% worth it. Every time I use them, they make me happy, so thank you Ron and crew for continuing to push this industry forward!!

[Screw] What can I say, it's a step up ring. I've had cheap ones get stuck before and while this one fits tightly it seems to be precision made and comes off with no problem. I've only used it a few times outdoors so time will tell but it seems to be worth the extra $$.

[Screw] Using them for Smallrig matte box step ring adapters to be always affixed to the lens. Clean look and stay stuck on without too much fight.
