This MID49 Baseline Core 15mm LWS is an Arca-type dovetail baseplate that features integrated 15mm LWS rod clamps. The 0.9" platform height refers to the distance from the center of the 15mm rods to the bottom of the Arca-type dovetail. It also features a top-loading Arca-type dovetail slot, which enables mounting either from the top or back. Likewise, the bottom of the platform can mount on standard ARRI dovetail rails via a top-loading mechanism or by sliding it on or off from the back.

A: The Tiltaing 15mm LWS Baseplate Type II has a proprietary mount that connects directly to Tilta cages it was designed to work with. It is not Arca Swiss compatible.

A: Other than a small difference in the overall dimensions and slight color difference, the Tilta Modular 15mm LWS Baseplate Type II (Gray) and the Tilta Modular 15mm LWS Baseplate Type III (Titanium Gray) are essentially the same.

A: Yes, the Tilta Modular 15mm LWS Baseplate Type I should work with Smallrig cages. However, in the past Tilta ARCA SWISS mounts may not fit. A: The bottom incorporates three 1/4"-20 threaded holes for mounting the baseplate directly on a tripod or other rigs.

[ARRI Dovetail] When Tilta equipment is on sale I make the purchase. I love the way this is engineered and it makes my GH6 modular for fast configurations. It's more expensive that Smallrig, which I also like very much, but I gravitate towards Tilta when the price is right. 5

[ARRI Dovetail] I have Tilta cages for my Panasonic GH5 and S1H. Both require a LWS baseplate for use with 15mm rods. I hoped the LWS baseplate for my GH5 would work with the S1H, but the rods aren't centered under the S1H lens....so, I had to buy a different LWS baseplate for the S1H. It's a fair chunk of change, but the build quality it great and worth the cost. 5
