The HeadRush Core includes an ever-expanding library of sounds. These are premium emulations of the most cherished vintage, modern, and boutique guitar gear with unprecedented accuracy and jaw dropping natural dynamic response. It features factory presets assembled by guitar sound-designer aficionados ChopTones and a full suite of great sounding and easy-to-use vocal FX including Antares Auto-Tune. This library is expanded on a regular basis with firmware updates (available via onboard Wi-Fi connection or USB connection to Mac/Windows computer).

Proprietary cloning technology enables you to greatly expand your onboard amp and FX library using real gear. The HeadRush Amp Cloner precisely captures the sound, dynamics, and most importantly, the feel of your favorite amps, preamps, distortion pedals, overdrive pedals, and even fuzz pedals. Cloning your gear is an extremely fast process, with a simple on-screen wizard guiding you through each step.

The heart of the HeadRush Core is a 7" touch display. Literally touch, swipe, drag, and drop to instantly create guitar, bass, and vocal rigs with amazing speed and accuracy. The display also gives clear feedback when performing live, especially when tweaking tones using an external expression pedal in Hands-Free mode.

  • Direct Wi-Fi connection to the HeadRush Cloud for easy clone and preset sharing
  • Update firmware instantly without connecting to a computer
  • Bluetooth audio connectivity for playing along with mobile devices

The Core has an intuitive looper that can record loops up to five minutes long with 20 minutes total overdub time. Save and recall loops, and sync with other gear like drum machines via MIDI.

Another feature is the ability to load songs directly from Dropbox over Wi-Fi, so you can practice or learn songs faster. Once a song is loaded, you can loop and slow down tricky sections, as well as change the pitch up or down in semitones to quickly learn songs in new keys. The Core can also connect to and play audio from any Bluetooth-enabled device, opening up many more streaming options and digital lesson services.

Housed in a durable road-ready steel chassis and loaded with a complete assortment of inputs and outputs, the HeadRush Core is a compact solution for musicians ready for any performance situation.

  • XLR mic input with dedicated gain control
  • 1/4" instrument input
  • 1/4" external amp footswitch output
  • Expression pedal and expression pedal toe switch 1/4" inputs
  • 3.5mm stereo aux input
  • Stereo pairs of 1/4" and balanced XLR outputs
  • 3.5mm stereo headphone output
  • 1/4" serial FX loop, capable of supporting the four-cable method
  • 5-pin DIN MIDI input and output/thru
  • USB-B and USB-A ports for audio interface use and loading models

Along with its role as a pedal platform and modeler, Core also provides users with mobile audio interface functionality, letting you record and reamp directly to your computer. Supporting up to 24-bit / 96 kHz audio capture, you can record your favorite performances into your computer, and then either tweak those recordings in DAW or export them to your preferred amp and pedal hardware for a convenient and completely portable reamping platform.

[Yes] I have been using a Strymon BigSky and Cloudburst, along with some other pedals with my 34 string Lever Harp. I mainly play ambient music with huge reverbs, and also play some traditional Celtic, and a host of other genres. I was looking for something that would cover a lot of ground for a little money. For $149 this pedal is a steal. I was researching the MS-70CDR and had decided to buy it, just as this was being released, so glad I was able to get the upgraded version! Something really, really cool is that you can simply plug the pedal into an iPhone (no adaptor needed!) and edit patches, stack pedals, tweak sounds, all using a simple to navigate (free) app. The sounds are very good, there is no discernible noise, and the amount of effects they pack into this unit is just mind boggling! And you can stack up to 6 effects at once to make patches that fit your needs. Just an awesome pedal, and B&H shipped it really fast, had it in like 2 1/2 days. If you'r on the fence, for the money, and for the sound, I think you will be very pleasantly surprised!

[12 VDC at 3 A] I bought this to replace other non-digital compression and eq pedals. I was not interested in calling up many patches. I try to get a McCartney sound and along with nylon flats on a Hofner this allows me to dial it in. I use the Bassman preamp, para-eq's, graphic eq, dbx 160 and MXR stle compressors. I created 3 different patches, tic tac bass, plinky but full bass and deeper bass. I play with two acoustic guitarists in smaller rooms so I use a small Gallien Krueger amp or a Markbass 12 inch combo. My only complaint is that none of the compression settings have any visuals showing gain reduction so it's all up to my ears. Sound quality is great. I haven't spent much time trying out the other patches but their Markbass patch impressed me on how close it was to a Markbass amp.

[7"] I hesitated at giving a 5-star rating because of the absence of a power button, but decided all the other great things about this mixer overshadowed that. This little mixer lacks nothing that I need in a mixer and has a footprint comparable to my 10 tablet. It has 12 inputs 4 of which are XLR inputs with 3 band EQs. Phantom power is there for my condenser mics as well as 99 great sounding effects such as reverbs, echoes, and much, much more. If you are a musician/singer working coffee houses and such this mixer is perfect. Pick up a powered speaker to use with it and you are in business. The mixer is also very quiet for recording and the Tape In/Out is right there for ya.

[Yes] I use this mainly for practice with headphones. It also works and sounds great through a PA. I was pleased to see I can also use it through my guitar amp. The amp and cabinet simulations all sound great. So I’m hoping this will add different character to my amp when needed for certain songs.
It’s a great addition to any rig!

[12 VDC at 3 A] I honestly don't think there is a better option on the market, everything is perfect, the sound, the spects the price, THE SIZE!! , everything, The unit fits like a glove inside my gigbag and the pedal layering is so well and smart designed that you actually don't miss not having more buttons . It took me like 20 minutes or less to build my first patch and then the second day I made the whole rig setup for my live gigs, witch I took to a few days later. Everything was perfect, just some minor twiks here and there, but I felt that it's been with me for years. The MX5 will kill everything on the market in this price range, even higher. In fact because of the stereo FX send and the expression pedal, even the Gigboard is in danger. Well done Headrush, very well done.

[10.835 lb] Sounds great. Compact (doesn't take up much desk space.). Easy to program. I use set-lists and scenes as a work-around for lack of snapshots. Compared to my Helix LT - much less expensive; much smaller and less heavy; BUT no snapshots; no programming with computer connection (HxEdit); takes a bit of effort to type on keyboard screen due to size. I like it.
