A: Not that i am aware of. I would just install the gimbal plate to the bottom of this riser plate and then screw in a quick relewase plate to your tripod into the gimbal plate. So all you would have to do is remove the quick release tripod plate and the gimbal plate would already be there and rteady to slide into gimbal.

[0.39 lb] Works as it should. Perfect riser for the RED DSMC 2 lineup. Can leave it on the bottom at all times and still fits in the case. Add the 15 or 19mm rod system attachment and you are set for doing most lightweight work. Add a dovetail and bridgeplate to gain more flexibility 5

[0.39 lb] I use this cable in order to distribute weight more evenly to achieve a properly balanced RS2. Works as stated. The 36" length allows further flexibility for various rigging arrangements if you want to rig the battery farther from the camera. 5

[0.39 lb] I don't understand all the negative reviews on this item. Our Komodo has been out on dozens of shoots, including multiple tv shows, music videos, commercials and feature films, and we've never had a problem with the baseplate. It feels very solid and works well. Yes, there isn't a safety pin to holds the dovetail in, but I generally find them to be irritating anyway. Just make sure to tighten it up properly and it's extremely solid. 5

[0.39 lb] I have this paired with the Komodo and the Red Expander Module. Allows me to get timecode and control port while maintaining battery hot swap. I recommend you get it with the BP-955 extender; it's an unfortunate add-on purchase of $50 but makes it worth it and maintains a compact form factor with the camera, BP-955 battery, and the v-mount slide. Best feature is the internal fuse for all three d-tap ports from protecting your camera/accessories better than any other option out there. 5

[0.39 lb] I own Red Komodo and Sony FX6 and use this battery slide on both of them. Initially, I got a similar product from Tilta for my Komodo, which was a mistake. The ability to slide and tilt the battery up and down (especially on the Komodo where access to the SDI port is so limited) is crucial. Yes, the price tag for this product (like most WC products) is a bit steep but they do pay off on a busy set greatly. 5
