Add a sturdy fluid head to your kit with the Cartoni Focus 22 Cine Fluid Head 100mm Half Ballfrom Cartoni. The Focus 22 fluid head provides smooth balance along its 100mm half ball head, +/-90° tilt range, and 360° panning range. It features continuous drag control adjustment and supports loads from 6.6 lb up to 48.5 lb. Its cine-style camera plate mounts into the head via a side-load locking system.

The 100mm half ball head is compatible with Cartoni 100mm tripods. Its illuminated bubble level and easy-to-read counterbalance markings make it simple to use in any lighting conditions.

A: It's not possible as this has a 100mm half ball,

A: Composite materials do not hold up as long as metal that being said this tripod is still extremely durable and should last a long time. Cartoni certainly has faith in their products' longevity as they offer a 3 year warranty that can be extended to 5 years once you register the tripod.

Q: 6. I need to film a fairly close up headshot of someone while they're standing. They're 5'10". Is this system tall enough or should I invest in the Stabilo?

A: The Cartoni Focus 8 has a 63.5" maximum height. If they are sitting, this tripod will do just fine. Otherwise, I recommend raising the height by using apple boxes.

A: Yes, it is possible to adapt the Cartoni Focus 10 Red Lock System (100mm Ball) for use with a slider. Q: 9. Can you remove the 75mm ball of the fluid head in order to have a flat base to attach on other tripods, sliders, etc. ?

A: We are not aware of this tripod offering that capability. It appears to be 75mm only.

Q: 10. Is it compatible with Manfrotto 504PLONG Plate?

[Fluid Head] Absolutely love the Cartoni Focus 12. It's light enough to carry for long distances, but strong enough to hold a fully built Red or C500. Highly reccomend! 5

[Yes] I use to work with the Focus 101 and this is a slight upgrade to that. Very solid. I needed the ability to use with larger cameras when need so this is a great 100mm option 5

[Continuous] I had an older Cartoni that had been reliable for years. When that head broke beyond repair, this was an easy choice for replacement. Super smooth movement, and incredibly stable with my heaviest rigs, this is exactly the upgrade I was looking for. 5

[2x 3/8"-16 Male] Everything I wanted in a tripod. And the added bonus of a family run business. The weight is good, operationally solid, with nice, simple added features like backlit level, quick-closing strap thing. Two things - one, the manual is lacking especially regarding spreader operation. Two, the spreader mechanisms feel like they might not stand up to work over time. But 5 year warranty. Easy to compare to (Vitec) Sachtler and come out on top. Flow tech is on everyone's list but it's 3-4x the cost. And, being a little sentiment, I prefer family run cartoni over conglomerate Vitec (sachtler) 5

[Yes] I regularly get to work with a variety of tripods from industry standards to the random owner/operator surprises. One that always stood out was a Cartoni that, despite clearly being put through its paces, still worked great. That one was built like a tank but still a breeze to do minor repairs on. After working with other sticks (such as the flow techs), I actually find that I prefer the design of these. The sticks are very light and quick to use. I can already see how they might be easier to work on than some of the more expensive options. I tend to find that tripod spreaders are nightmares to work with, but this spreader has a fantastic design that's as simple as a button press (no more wrenching down that one pesky spreader that just won't stop slipping). I do think I prefer the euro style plate, but this side-load sliding plate is still great. All around, it's difficult to beat the size, weight, and price while still delivering a fantastic product. 5
