Add an Arca-type baseplate with 15mm LWS rod support to the RED KOMODO-X using this Wooden Camera Core Accessory System RED KOMODO-Xfrom Wooden Camera. This Arca-type baseplate mounts onto the included Bridge Plate Dovetail and features dual 15mm rod ports for mounting optional 15mm accessories. It provides quick release capability to easily transfer your rig from tripod to handheld.

A: The RED Komodo-X comes with an integrated V-mount battery plate, and the Wooden Camera Battery Slide for RED KOMODO Camera (V-Mount), which only works with the RED Komodo, would not be required.

A: The RED KOMODO Link Adapter is meant to be used with a mobile device for wired camera control and Files Transfer Protocol Secure functions through the UBS-C port. As of 7/11/21, the RED Komodo Link Adaptor does not support DJI controls.

Q: 4. Do you have to put your phone for this to work like the you use the app and wifi?

A: You do not need a phone. When paired with a separately available USB Type-C to Ethernet adapter, the KOMODO Link Adapter offers ethernet-based remote camera control.

Q: 5. Does it compatible with Komodo outrigger handle?

A: No, the RED Komodo Outrigger Handle and Wooden Camera Arca-Swiss Style Monitor Hinge Kit are not compatible.

Q: 6. Does this plate pass battery status data to the Komodo?

A: Unfortunately no.

Q: 7. Does this kit come with a shoulder pan or just the plate?

A: The Wooden Camera Elite Accessory System for Canon C400 (V-Mount) does not include a shoulder pad, only the Wooden Camera Safety Dovetail Plate (8").

Q: 8. Can Canon BP-975 Battery also fit for hot swap with this extension?

A: Unfortunately, the Wooden Camera Canon BP-955 Battery Slide Extension for RED KOMODO Camera is only intended for use with a Canon BP-955, as Wooden Camera states: "Please note that only the Canon BP-955 battery is recommended for this configuration as larger capacity batteries may not fit properly between battery plate and back of camera."

Q: 9. Would this work to raise the 8sinn top plate enough to clear the revolva adapter?

A: Yes, the Wooden Camera Revolva Riser for RED KOMODO Top Mount Kits is designed for kits to use KipperTie Revolva RF/PL adapter.

Q: 10. Is there some kind of quick release system compatible with this bottom plate? So I can switch between tripods and gimbals on the fly?

A: Not that i am aware of. I would just install the gimbal plate to the bottom of this riser plate and then screw in a quick relewase plate to your tripod into the gimbal plate. So all you would have to do is remove the quick release tripod plate and the gimbal plate would already be there and rteady to slide into gimbal.

[RED KOMODO-X] If you're shooting with RED and need to send scratch audio into the camera via XLR, this is the box to get. Conveniently packaged with all the hardware needed to mount to a camera cage/rig, the A-Box is ready to go with mic-level signal inputs. I mix from a Sound Devices 888, and when there's no need for wireless camera hops, or the client doesn't want to pay for it, cabled is still a viable alternative. So many cameras these days do not have XLR inputs, so a breakout cable or box is needed. The A-Box provides an easy and clean connection. 5

[4.6 x 4 x 1.85"] I have this paired with the Komodo and the Red Expander Module. Allows me to get timecode and control port while maintaining battery hot swap. I recommend you get it with the BP-955 extender; it's an unfortunate add-on purchase of $50 but makes it worth it and maintains a compact form factor with the camera, BP-955 battery, and the v-mount slide. Best feature is the internal fuse for all three d-tap ports from protecting your camera/accessories better than any other option out there. 5

[4.6 x 4 x 1.85"] Clips well in place. The three added D-Tap ports are a great addition when using lots of accessories. Nothing bad to say about it so far. Well made and batteries fit very well in place. Center of mass in perfectly centered with the camera even though it only clips on the left side of the battery mount. 5

[0.78 lb] The wooden camera nato rails work just like they should and are easy/smooth to use. I tried and returned the Bright Tangerine ones because you couldn't really slide on nato devices without two hands. These work just like every other nato rail you're used to with the added benefit of being timmyribs too. 5
