  • Built-in frequency coordination: the high-performance CPU also enables fast frequency coordination calculations, real-time interference monitoring, and intermodulation analysis right out of the box.
  • Record/Save/Replay spectrum data: automatically save scan data on RAM for easy replay of any event. Additionally, the data can be manually or automatically saved in binary and CSV formats for later use.
  • Continuous monitoring and alerting: stay informed with reliable alerts, including configurable limit lines, to ensure you never miss critical issues during an event.
  • Export data: seamlessly export all captured data to a USB drive for use in other software applications such as RF Venue's free online Wireless System Builder, Shure Wireless Workbench, Audio Technica Wireless Manager, Excel, and more.

  • RF Explorer Pro also features a dedicated Wi-Fi Analyzer mode built-in for working with wireless data networks and the ever growing list of live performance tools operating in the 2.4 and 5 GHz frequency bands.
  • Wi-Fi Analyzer mode lets you quickly visualize these often congested frequency bands and identify less occupied channels for configuring your system to avoid problems on stage or with your digital mixing console control.

  • SMA Spectrum analyzer input: interface with BNC adapter or jumper cable to analyze RF from any part of your wireless audio system. Patch into antenna distros, receive antennas, bandpass filters, RF over fiber converters, or other sources to directly measure performance of your system, debug issues, and fine tune performance.
  • HDMI output: connect the RF Explorer PRO to an external display for monitoring RF performance in real time during an event. This is also useful for system configuration and testing to gauge wireless microphone or in-ear monitor coverage range.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it show the ssid name?

A: Yes, the "Snapshot" feature of the Triplett WiFi Hound 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz Portable RF Spectrum Analyzer shows the number of SSIDs and APs.

Q: 2. for a RF 100-400 lens, would it be better to use a 1.4 extender or a 2.0 extender?

A: For the Canon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM Lens both the Canon Extender RF 2x and the Canon Extender RF 1.4x are compatible with the lens. It is important to note that you must extend the lens past 200mm in order to mount the 2x converter. While both are compatible with the lens and can be used for all focal lengths, the 2x converter will lose 2 stops of light (leaving you around f/11 when using it with the 100-400mm lens).

Q: 3. Can I use this extender with the Canon RF 100-400 F5.6-8 IS USM lens?

A: Yes, you can use the Canon Extender RF 1.4x with the Canon RF 100-400mm lens.

Q: 4. Can you safely use a 2x teleconverter with extension tubes(all Canon original)? Just curious!

A: Extension tubes will fit the 2x converter but how well they work would be unknown. The tube)s) would need to be mounted to the camera, then the 2x converter, and then the compatible lens. Automatic functions such as AF and auto exposure might be lost too.

Q: 5. Can this RF 1.4x and the RF 2.0x extender be stacked?

A: No, the rear element will not allow it, besides losing 3 stops of light and image degradation is not advisable.

Q: 6. Using the 2x on the 600mm and 800mm, what is the effective F stop?

A: The effective f/stop for both is f/22.

Q: 7. If used with 100-500mm RF, is it possible to damage the lens if it is tried to go below 300mm by mistake? The hit is directly on the lens or does it has a safe stop?

A: The RF extender prevents the lens from retracting past 300mm. From my tests here at the Superstore, while it is might be possible to damage them if you really tried, it seems unlikely as the force generated by rotating the lens between 500-300 isn't very high.

Q: 8. Why in the world would this not work with the RF 70-200 2.8 Please tell me they just overlooked this?

A: Unfortunately, the RF 70-200 2.8 's rear glass give the converter no space. So it isn't compatible.

Q: 9. Does the Canon RF Extender 1.4x change minimum focal length of a lens?

A: Teleconverters will change the minimum and maximum focal length of a lens. However, they will not affect the minimum focus distance.

Q: 10. will this extender work with an ef to rf adapter?

A: No, the RF extenders do not work with the EF-RF adapter. The EF-RF adapter doesn't fit over the RF 1.4 or 2.0x teleconverters/extenders. The only way to use a teleconverter with the EF-RF adapters is to use an EF-teleconverter. [Lithium-Ion] All of our microphones work well through this unit. We don't use them over a great distance, but our receivers are in a metal rack, so we need external antennae. These are doing well.

[8"] The Extender RF 2x does what you'd expect it to do - doubles the focal length of the lens and doubles the minimum f-number. Optical quality is good; when used together with an RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM lens, there's only a small loss of sharpness, and some of that may be unavoidable due to diffraction. Autofocus continues to work with the extender, but image stabilization can become unreliable.

[1280 x 800] I purchased the WIFI Hound to troubleshoot a large gym environment to find conflicting WIFI channels and Bluetooth. The graphing and spread sheet style data showed me all the conflicting channels so I could clear the problem. The WIFI Hound worked flawlessly. I have to watch my business partner to make sure he doesn't walk of with it he likes it so much.

[15 MHz to 6 GHz] I read up on use of the Extender with my 100 - 500 lens and was a bit concerned about the restrictions that resulted in a 300 - 500 lens, but it doesn’t bother me in actual use. The build quality is excellent. I have not noticed any difference in IQ. Great purchase from a wonderful company!
