[49 mm] I still have a very expensive PMVND filter screwed into a high end brass 49 mm to 82 mm adapter three weeks after the shoot. For whatever reason it simply will not come off. On the eve of a shoot when I knew I'd need my 55mm lens, I bought the Kase Wolverine ND and filter kit along with a couple of adapters like this one, and could not be happier. This is a life saver. Leave it on the camera with a Kase mag lens cover, then whatever filter or ND I need, it drops on. Magnet is strong and holds the lens cover or filter perfectly. Most important, they come off easily when I'm done with them. Worth every penny.

[Aluminum] The magnetic filter attachment is a step into the future and makes me use filters more without screw threads that are hard to get started and sometimes locked on. The filters themselves a high quality optically

[49 mm] I bought this step-up ring to see if it would work with my brand of magnetic filters. It worked great so I will order other sizes.

[0.095 lb] I have these in a couple sizes. The smaller ones, like 72mm are somewhat weaker in magnetic attachment, but they work OK. The larger 82mm size is much stronger and I like them even better. Having used magnetic filter attachment for some time now, the screw on ones seem just awful. So tedious.

[Aluminum] Having begun with Formatt-Hitech Firecrest 100mm square filters, there was a steep learning curve. Once I had everything figured out, I still found myself put off by the amount of time and effort to set up the filters for a given composition. When the lighting conditions were constantly changing, I would find myself reaching for the filters and then deciding to forgo them, as I didn't want to miss a photographic opportunity. I began using the Formatt-Hitech filters less frequently, sacrificing shots that coule have used a CPL or ND filter.

When I first heard about the Kase Wolverine Magnetic Filters, I was skeptical. After watching or reading more and more reviews, I was enthralled with the idea of such a simple and easy solution for installing filters. Magnetic?! Snap-on?! Sounds incredible!

When I received the filters, the packaging was well padded and the filters were in perfect condition. Excitedly, opened the box and was impressed with the product packaging and filter case. I began playing with the filter kit like a giddy little boy and was pleasantly surprised.

My first concern was about the strength of the magnets. So, I began turning my camera and shaking it in several different motions. Since I enjoy ICM, it was important to ensure the filters are going to be secured with my wild movements of the camera. No movement I made could shake the filters loose! The magnetic hold is incredibly strong. My concerns were relieved and I have great confidence these filters will stay on the lens. The only time I could envision the filters falling to the ground is when removing them or by some other form of user error.

While I have not yet used the filters in the field as much, I did a close-to-home photo session of landscape images and was so happy to have a filter kit that is easy to install and put away. And I included some ICM images with those aforementioned wild camera movements. The filters held stronger than my Formatt-Hitech filter holder!!!

[0.095 lb] I have modified the Kase Magnetic Step Up Ring by adding two Neodymium magnet strips and applying magnetic adhesive strips to graduated neutral density filters. I don't like to use the frames that hold the graduated filters on the lens because I find that they vignette wide angle lenses. My graduated filters will adhere to the magnetic step up ring without causing any vignette and it is easy to position the filters over the lens.
