[0.09 lb] Having begun with Formatt-Hitech Firecrest 100mm square filters, there was a steep learning curve. Once I had everything figured out, I still found myself put off by the amount of time and effort to set up the filters for a given composition. When the lighting conditions were constantly changing, I would find myself reaching for the filters and then deciding to forgo them, as I didn't want to miss a photographic opportunity. I began using the Formatt-Hitech filters less frequently, sacrificing shots that coule have used a CPL or ND filter.

When I first heard about the Kase Wolverine Magnetic Filters, I was skeptical. After watching or reading more and more reviews, I was enthralled with the idea of such a simple and easy solution for installing filters. Magnetic?! Snap-on?! Sounds incredible!

When I received the filters, the packaging was well padded and the filters were in perfect condition. Excitedly, opened the box and was impressed with the product packaging and filter case. I began playing with the filter kit like a giddy little boy and was pleasantly surprised.

My first concern was about the strength of the magnets. So, I began turning my camera and shaking it in several different motions. Since I enjoy ICM, it was important to ensure the filters are going to be secured with my wild movements of the camera. No movement I made could shake the filters loose! The magnetic hold is incredibly strong. My concerns were relieved and I have great confidence these filters will stay on the lens. The only time I could envision the filters falling to the ground is when removing them or by some other form of user error.

While I have not yet used the filters in the field as much, I did a close-to-home photo session of landscape images and was so happy to have a filter kit that is easy to install and put away. And I included some ICM images with those aforementioned wild camera movements. The filters held stronger than my Formatt-Hitech filter holder!!!

[Aluminum] I bought this step-up ring to see if it would work with my brand of magnetic filters. It worked great so I will order other sizes.

[Aluminum] I purchased the 72 to 82 mm step-up ring for my Nikon Z 24-70 mm lens. It is easy to use and stores nicely in the Kase filter pouch along with another step-up ring and the 4 filters.

[Aluminum] You have one of two choices, get a different size ND filter for each lens with a different thread, or get adapters and worry whether you'll ever be able to unscrew your ND filter from the adapter. Even the highest end brass adapters are prone to stick. Kase Wolverine is the third option and so worth the price. I just leave this adapter on my Sigma 24mm lens and whatever ND or other filter I need, it drops right on. Perfect.

[0.09 lb] Appears to be well made and a good fit. Very simply, it works as stated, it's a step up ring.
