The Core SWX JetPack X for Blackmagic Cameraenables you to power multiple accessories along with your camera, featuring three LEMO outputs (2-pin, 3-pin, 4-pin), two D-tap outputs, and a USB port. It allows you to connect to the Blackmagic Cinema Camera via an integrated cable (approx. 1 ft long) with a DC connector on the end. An 11-17VDC 6-pin LEMO input is also available for connecting AC power instead of a battery via an adapter/converter.

The JetPack X has all the features of the original JetPack but adds a built-in battery backup capable of supporting up to 200W for 5 minutes when you swap batteries. It also adds a 2-pin AMP connector for plugging directly into ENG cameras, foregoing use of the integrated camera cable.

Three 1/4"-20 threads are available on the bottom, two of them spaced 18mm apart for optional rod clamps, and a cheese plate with 1/4"-20 threads is included for attaching on a rig. You can also use an optional X-Mod plate, which can attach the JetPack X to any Gold-Mount or V-mount hole pattern.

Q: 1. Does the bottom of the unit have a single screw hole for tripod plate attachment, or 2? I can't believe a professional product would only have a single screw hole, allowing camera to twist...?

A: The Core SWX Powerbase EDGE LINK 70Wh Battery Pack (V-Mount) (B&H# COPBELINK) features a V-mount male lock on the bottom or you may use the 1/4" female thread with a hole for a locator pin to prevent twisting once mounted with a compatible mount.

Q: 2. Does this enable you to jam timecode? (Like with Sony's XDCA.)

A: The JP-V-FS7 does not have Timecode or Gen Lock.(or ProRes or RAW for that matter.) It is just a device to allow you to use a large battery with convenient power ports at 1/4 the cost of the XDCA.

Q: 3. Will this provide the needed power for a Canon R5c in raw 8k 60?

A: Hi Bryan - yes it will, via the USBC

Q: 4. How long does this take to charge from 0-100% using a D Tap charger or a USB C charger? Need to know times for both please

A: The Core SWX Powerbase EDGE LINK 70Wh Battery Pack (V-Mount) recharge duration over D-Tap or USB-C can take up to 3.7 hours.

Q: 5. Can the Jetpack charge a v-mount battery as well?

A: This unit does not charge batteries.

Q: 6. Has anyone tried to mount this battery to an R5C and then tried to balance it with a lens on an RS2 gimbal?

A: For a better end-user experience we suggest attaching to the bottom of the gimbal for easier balancing.

Q: 7. Any mounting options on this? How did you all mount?

A: As other previous customers have mentioned, velcro is a great option!

Q: 8. Anybody know if this works for the FS7Mkii?

A: According to Core, all of their FS7 accessories will work with the Sony PXW-FS7M2.

Q: 9. Does this meet the USB-C PD charging requirements for the Sony FX3 safely?

A: Yes, the Core SWX Powerbase EDGE LINK 70Wh Battery Pack's (V-Mount) USB-C output is PD capable, so it will supply the correct amount of power for the FX3 when connected to the FX3.

Q: 10. Does the 70Wh version have a solid mount plate/camera/tripod connection or is there any jiggle at all? Is the plate plastic?

[Gold Mount] It is a good alternative with the Sony XDCA -FS7 if you don't need timecode and a prores ability to record on cards. It doesn't take any power. 5

[1/4"-20 Female] What can I say. This cable is well made, and it powers my camera via p-tap as expected. As an added benefit, it also has an integrated p-tap plug which allows you to power another 12vdc device. 5

[Aluminum] Very useful pack with all the outputs. Can mount it anywhere. LCD is helpful. USBC is helpful for charging my Apple MacBook and other things. 5

[2.85 lb] As you will see in the reviews, this battery HAD 2 flaws. 1. A weak spring, holding the quick release plate. The manufacturer fixed it. Now it is much stronger. 2. The battery would go to sleep after 48 hours so if you didn't have a charger, you couldn't wake it up. They also fixed this. Now if it sleeps you just have to use a paper clip to hit a reset button where the P-Tap terminal is. This is an awesome battery and it's back by a great company who provides excellent support! 5

[2.85 lb] I'd been using the smaller version of this battery to power my MixPre 6 and Zoom F4. Love having two D-taps, and now having the USB-C port capable of powering the MixPre. This battery will run both devices for essentially a whole day, and the V-mount and 1/4-20 plate makes it easy to attach the whole rig to a stand. 5
