[1.05 lb] I use this to pop my slider onto some heavy-duty legs. No problems, no issues, just a half-ball that works.

[1.05 lb] I use this on a tripod for DSLR and Camcorder video. And, to mount a short Glide Gear Slider. The large base plate provides a firm base for mounting a slider rail, much more stable than my photo ball head which is rated at 25lbs. And, it holds the angles well when lock down. The pan and tilt is very smooth, a huge improvement over a photo ball head. It's also built solid with cast and machined mag-alloy. No plastic. It's heavy and stable. I found no negatives about this product. It is a great product, well constructed, and performs very well in the field. Overall, for the price, it's a great value.

[1.05 lb] We've been using this head for about eight months. It's great for dslr and handheld eng cameras. Little to no play when you pan and title. Far out performs manfrottos of similar price. It's small enough that on a shoot in Cuba I could pack it into my rolling case and put the sticks in another bag. It's also tough! It's been knocked over twice (twice!) and still works great.

[4.5" (11.5 cm)] This product was shipped direct from the Factory in TX. Great fast service from B&H.I use this on a regular photo tripod with DSLRs and a camcorder. Also, I use it to support a 2foot camera slider. It has very smooth pan and tilt, and is easy to adjust and set up. The construction is mostly cast alloy, with mat black finish. Not many plastic parts on this head. Using it to support a slider is very stable. The only negative I see is, it's hefty in size and weight. But that's expected with a fluid video head of this size. And, the heft adds to the stability which is a positive. FYI... according to the specs, it says variable pan adjustment. However, the manual says fixed pan adjustment. This head has no variable adjustment, it is fixed with a lock down lever. Nevertheless, the tilt is variable, and each has lock-down levers that will lock down the pan and tilt in less than 1/3 turn of the lever. The camera plate is designed for video rigs, not so much for stand alone DSLR. Thus, it' is awkward to mount on the bottom of the DSLR, and if you have a fat lens, the camera plate will get in the way, thus needing to mount the plate on the extreme forward end of the plate. Or if you have a riser or lens mount between the DSLR and the plate it will fit well. At any rate, I'm happy with this fluid head, it seems well constructed, very smooth operation, and is easy to deploy. The size and bulk make it very stable for what I do, and using it to support a camera slider is much more stable than my 25Lb rated photo ball head.

[1.05 lb] A well made adapter which works perfectly on my Sachtler 100mm tripod and mounting my Edelkrone slider to the tripod.

[1.05 lb] I am very pleased with this adapter. I was able to do exactly what a rep at B&H told me I couldn't do and that was to remove the fluid head from a tripod I bought with tandem legs and replace it with a ball head using this adapter. I still have the fluid head in case the occasion for serious videoing arises.

[1.05 lb] After being told by B&H I couldn't change the video head on my new tripod I was so pleased that this item would indeed allow me to do that very thing.

[1.05 lb] This is a GREATA head for video, great drag, great counterbalance, great camera plate, holds a very good amount of weight for this price, the only thing that seemed wierd to me and even illogical is that you cannot use the same camera plate betweeb this and the halfbowl version....why is that????they are basically the exact same head the only difference is that one is flat base and the other is a half bowl base, not adding up for me. But overal if you are looking for a great head for your Dslr buy this one, you will become a fan, if you are looking a head for a slider then not so much, better a Manfroto 502 or 505 etc. I have a Manfrotto 502HD and if not for the size (needed a head to place a slider on) the I would have stayed all the way with this one, even I had the half bowl version and I needed to replaced it for the Manfrotto because of the size vs slider I ended buying this flat base version to connect the camera to the slider.
