Q: 1. How many stands are needed to set this up? One? Or two and a support bar?

A: I don't use any stands to set it up. I lay it against a wall and clamp the wire frame to whatever furniture I can find. A shelf,, a hinge of a door or anything. The wire-frame is flexible. If my setup is a tight fit in a narrow room (this screen is big) or at the end of a corridor I don't even clamp the frame. It holds itself by pressing to the sides..

Q: 2. Video question. I know this is muslin so it's not light-reflective but can it reflective RGB color that is a video light so can change the color of the background whatever the RGB light is casting to the gray background. Can this be done?

A: Yes you can change the Grey with the RGB color

Q: 3. Can this foam fits MKH 416

A: No, the RODE WS-Chroma Chroma Key Windshield Set for VideoMic NTG will not fit on the Sennheiser MKH 416. The Bubblebee Industries The Spacer Bubble Windshield & Fur Cover System for Shotgun Mics (BUBBISBGRXL) is a similar product that will work with the Sennheiser MKH 416.

Q: 4. Someone said you have to steam out wrinkles. Is that the case all the time after it is folded up? Does that happen with all pop up backgrounds?

A: The fabric used for collapsible backgrounds typically stretches taut when unfolded, making steaming unnecessary.

Q: 5. Since this is discontinued, can you pls recommend compatible alternative?

A: The Impact Collapsible Background (6-in-1, 5 x 7') and the Studio Essentials Pop-Up Background and Reflector Stand with Clip (7.5') are a great alternatives to the discontinued Studio Essentials Pop-Up Background Kit (Blue/Gray, 5 x 6.5').

Q: 6. Honestly, I know nothing about this stuff...if I bought this could I (to save money) basically pin it to my wall & just crop out the edges? I have started to create videos for youtube and for webinars and need a more professional looking background than my wall.

A: I have thought about doing the same thing because I shoot everything in one location. It would keep the backdrop perfectly straight if you hung it well. I would try it temporarily to make sure the color of the wall does not effect the shading of the cloth (color bleed through). If it does your software may have a more difficult time removing the green completely. The lighting could also cause a distortion if too much was to pass through the fabric. All that being said, I think every situation could be different. Just have to try it and see.

Q: 7. What size does this pack down to?

A: HI Scott-The background folds down to a about a 3 ft circle that is about 2 thick. Just make sure you plan to steam it before you use it each time or you will have wrinkles.

Q: 8. Picture shows a white clothing draped down to the floor. Is this included?

A: The train is sewn into the backdrop.

Q: 9. I don't use blue screens - is it possible to buy the green windshield alone?

A: The RODE WS-Chroma Chroma Key Windshield Set for VideoMic NTG (1 Blue, 1 Green) comes packaged from the manufacturer with both windscreens. We are not able to sell the green windshield separately.

Q: 10. What is the lowest height this unit can go with the background attached to the tripod?

A: The following unit can go 5ft the lowest.

[6.61 lb] Photography back drop. I love the almost wrinkle free aspect. Sometimes you have to stretch them a bit. But they are infinitely easier to use than muslin backdrops, and I know what I speak of since I have seventeen of the muslin backdrops. Just remember to shot against the fuzzy side of the backdrop. 5

[6.61 lb] This fabric backdrop is deceptive in all the right ways. I have a much smaller space than the 9' width, so it's bunched at the edges of my bar, which means the fabric has waves and creases (not to mention the pre-existing fold marks). Plus the fabric is textured. I certainly expected these to show up, but to my delight every picture appears matte and flat and flawless. Ordered it in deep black as well. Definitely recommend. 5

[1] In my studio I have always shot with a gray background. For some reason I shied away from any other color. Not anymore. The white background is more versatile. Depending upon how I light it, It can go from dark gray to pure white. Thank goodness it's washable. I love it. 5

[6.61 lb] This is a good white background. It works well for shooting talking heads. It's plenty long enough and just wide enough. It has a solid pocket for the rod, hangs well and gives you a nice rounded cyc curve. It came in a sealed plastic bag, inside a cloth, drawstring bag. Yet, when we opened it, there were big patches of dirt in several spots, like someone has dragged it on a dirty floor before packing it, and it was highly wrinkled. We have washed it, re-hung it and steamed out the wrinkles and it works fine. Just be aware that you may have to at least do the steaming before you can use it out of the box (bag). 5

[6.61 lb] This backdrop is a great size and a great material. I used to use a cloth/cotton/who-knows-what backdrop and the struggle with wrinkles and see-through was so time-consuming. This material is soft, wrinkle-free and there's plenty of it to be had. 5

[6.61 lb] Worked well and really helped me get a clean black backdrop. When I first hung it, there were obvious creases and folds from it being packaged, but with a fabric steamer I was quickly able to get a smooth backdrop. 5
