Designed for the iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max, the raven black Angelbird Kondor Blue SD Module Raven Blackfrom Angelbird Kondor Blue SD Module Raven Blackis an accessory that lets you capture ProRes 4K/60p video directly to an SD card that can sustain write speeds of at least 220 MB/s. It features a UHS-II SDXC card slot that is backward compatible with UHS-I, a 10 Gb/s USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 interface, and attaches to the back of your phone or compatible case using MagSafe. If you don't have a compatible iPhone, it may be used with other devices that support USB-C recording and offers rig mounting using a 1/4"-20 male/female ARRI standard 3mm anti-twist pins. In addition to support for USB 3.2 Gen 2, the Recording Module is backward compatible with other USB standards and may be used with Thunderbolt 3 and 4 ports, although it will operate using the USB standard supported by your device.

Angelbird's Recording Module is resistant to extreme temperatures, shock, ESD, and overloads. In order to provide a more secure connection and reduce wear and tear, the Recording Module uses Solid Connect technology with a recessed internal cable connection. Included is a USB-C cable with a right angle connection on one end and a straight angle on the other.

Angelbird's Recording Module has a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 interface that supports data transfer speeds of up to 10 Gb/s. It is backward compatible with other USB standards and physically compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and 4, although it will operate at the USB standard supported by your device.

With power provided by the USB interface, no additional power is needed.

The Recording Module may be attached directly to your iPhone 15 Pro & Pro Max using MagSafe, or use a case that is compatible with MagSafe. It also may also be mounted to a rig using 1/4"-20 make/female ARRI standard 3mm anti-twist pins for use with a camera that supports recording via USB-C.

[Bus Powered] This inexpensive piece attaches via a 1/4 20” and saves you the need to hold that extra gear. Mounting the cold shoe plate to the side of your camera or gear cage is like having another arm, and saves you from a jumbled mess. For $10, this is a must have for folks who use cold shoe mounts daily. 5

[Aluminum] I purchased this recently so I could record more ProRes Log 60fps footage with my iPhone and it works exactly as expected. It attaches with a magnet to the back of your phone extremely easily and takes my CF Express cards like I would use with any other camera. This is awesome because I can now shoot my footage, not have to take up my iPhone storage and then load it to my computer for editing. Highly recommend for anyone looking to use CF Express with their iPhone. 5

[6.8 x 3.9 x 1"] The specs show that the package is 4 long. Why I would care I don't know. The plate itself is very short, 1.95 / 50mm long. If you are planning to add a second screw and mount it in two places, you have exactly 1.37 / 35mm screw center to screw center to mount both. My smallrig universal large cage doesn't have screws that close together on the bottom. Worth measuring. 5

[Raven Black] I could be wrong about this, others are prone to disagree, but it gets complicated. This was purchased to complement the Kondor Blue 501 Adjustable Baseplate. Without this piece of nicely machined, symmetrical alloy, spring releases on both ends, there isn't a large flat surface on the Baseplate to attach directly to any other surface. The Dovetail fits nicely into the Baseplate. Dandy. With some platforms that might well be sufficient. However, most tripod heads and surface mounts have their own dovetail receptacle which require yet another dovetail plate. What you end up with is plates mounted back to back, or more accurately: front to front. Or am I missing something? One minor annoyance: my two plates front to front were not thick enough for the length of a standard ¼-20 camera attachment screw. The end of the screws impede the free sliding of the baseplate along the dovetail. Had to add a bit of spacer between the two dovetails. I know- clear as mud. But there you have it. 5

[Bus Powered] Most cages for the Canon R5 C (and R5) block your path to change the filter in the Canon filter adapter. This cage leaves that path open. It additionally is build very solid and the quality is excellent. 5

[Bus Powered] Solid build, no wiggle. Looks nice and provides the necessary mounting points and stability for a wide variety of scenarios. Works well with the VR lens too- everything is behind the lens, so no obstructions. 5

[Aluminum] Excellent piece of hardware. My only criticism is that I wish it was quicker to attach and remove from a camera cage for rebuilds. But that might compromise it's integrity and am ok with that for now. 5
