A: I doubt it would fit an SM 57. There just isn't enough room for the breadth of the mic head to fit within the curvature of the Octo. Plus one of the things I've learned about the Octo is that it is still susceptible to pops from air coming around the sides - and you would have even less side space with the Octo on an SM 57.

A: Dimensions of the Zoom F8 are 7 x 5.5 x 2.1" and the interior of the ORCA OR-280 is 9.4 x 7.9 x 4.5" so the F8 will fit inside, but the bag is larger than needed.
