A: Yes, although not the same as the HDR-165, the HDR-175 is compatible with Sennheiser TR 165 Transmitter.

A: I wouldnt advise this for the NTG1. This is designed fro the MKH60 which has a larger diameter and is longer. Here are two good options for the NTG1 Rode Blimp System (Item# ROBLIMPR) Rycote Super Shield (Item# RYSSKM) Both of the above options are also far less expensive than the Sennheiser as with the Sennheiser you will still need to add the Grip and the wind muff in order to use this.

A: Yes, you can use a headset or lavalier microphone that is wired for use with a Sennheiser transmitter such as the Galaxy Audio HSM3 Dual-Ear Headset Microphone with 4 Cables (B&H # GAHS3OBG4MXD) or Samson DE10x Omnidirectional Miniature Headset Microphone for Wireless Transmitters (B&H # SADE10X). Both the Galaxy Audio and Samson mics include four detachable adapter cables with the following connectors: locking 3.5mm, Hirose 4-pin, TA3F, and TA4F. [9 x 5 x 0.4"] Based on the reviews alone, I would have passed on this headset. I think the problem is people don't understand this is an ON ear headset and not an OVER ear headset. I work as a lighting designer and sometimes have to wear a headset for 15 hours straight. I was turned on to these after a show caller at an event had them, and her voice sounded amazing over intercom. These sound great in the ears, mic sounds great, and the look really professional too. I love that I can swing the earcup back to make it a single when I need to hear the room. I will agree that since it's an on ear headset it isn't as comfortable as some of the over ears. With that said, they are still way more comfortable than any of the clearcom or telex offerings, and sound SO MUCH BETTER. The noise isolation is really good too. I use these in combination with 15db molded earplugs in arena settings, and the SPL out of the headset is good enough to crank up and hear production, and the mic sounds better than my David Clarks. I love being able to swap the 4 pin cable out for an XLR/TRS cable that I can use for video conferences and remote support applications. I am very happy with this headset. 5

[Foam] Exactly what we expected from Sennheiser. Very good quality and does what we need for outdoor sports broadcasting. Note that this large windscreen is much larger than the standard windscreen that comes with a new HMD-26 headset. 5

[Foam] Hmm not sure why there are bad reviews by a few customers. Either they are consumers or amateurs; this is the gold standard for studio-quality mic and headset. We use it for several productions and perform really well for the price. 5

[Foam] Have purchased and used many Sennheiser products through the years. The HMD-25 was great. The HMD-26 was flawed, but many issues were corrected with the HMD-26-II. The HMD-27 has the around ear style. Personal preference for the 26-II on ear style. Noise canceling is very effective. We think the 600-ohm version (vs 100-ohm) is worth it. If you purchase the no cable option you'll need 5

[9 x 5 x 0.4"] This windscreen works perfectly with my Sennheiser e835. It's a tight fit, but I'd rather it be tight than fall off. I feel that it is a bit pricey for what it is, but if it works well and is a first-party accessory, then it must be worth it. 5

[0.05 lb] This is one of the best sounding Sportscasters we have ever used. Comes completely wired with the correct connections already installed, it is also well built and will hold up to TV Broadcast field use. 5
