Q: 8. Magnus VT300 says it will support 15lbs. I have a VT4000 that is much sturdier and it says it supports up to 8.8lbs. What is the difference?

A: According to the makers of the tripods: The difference is the counterbalance on the VT-4000, vs failure weight on the VT-300.So the VT-4000 will counterbalance a camera load of 8.8 lbs without assistance.The VT-300 has no such spring, but will securely hold 15lbs in position with the locks engaged without any slipping.

Q: 10. I just purchased the vt-350. Upon inspection, it appears the head is slightly tilted on the column. Is there a way to adjust this. Its obviously tilted as I can slide a piece of paper on one side of the head, but the other I cannot. Any Advice?

[Yes] This tripod is optimized to be light-weight and compact. It has only the most basic features. You may wish to purchase a leveling base head to ease configuration for level horizontal panning. The head has four screw knobs for adjustments: 1) Tighten and loosen the horizontal pan locking screw. A half tightened screw results in jerky camera pans, not increased and decreased smooth resistance. 2) Tighten and loosen the vertical pan locking screw. A half tightened screw results in jerky camera pans, , not increased and decreased smooth resistance. The act of un-screwing must be done gingerly to prevent camera shake. The vertical pan includes leveling springs (non-adjustable for camera and lens weight) to aid in smoothly returning to (roughly) level vertical position. 3) change the angle and rotation of the handle. 4) Tighten and loosen the Arca-Swiss plate. The tripod is made of aluminum with plastic flip locks. The legs are easy to extend, lock, then collapse. The tripod feet can change between using rubber or integrated spikes by screwing the rubber segment up or down on the foot to expose or cover the spike. The tripod comes with a carrying case that includes a shoulder strap. 5

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] This tripod has great load capacity. Features smooth leg latch operation and quality feel for the price point. The fluid head is a bit stiff but, that seems a product of the load capacity. It supports my spotting scope well and functions well for my purposes where a more expensive brand I bought earlier just fails to support my heavier optics properly. Good buy if it fits you needs. 5

[5.255 lb] We got this tripod to use with an iPhone camera. This is more than enough for the job and not flimsy like some of the cheap ones out there. Tested it with a heavier camera as well and it worked fine, no issues. Using it daily in the past few weeks since we got it and we're very happy with it. 5
