[1x HDMI Clamp] No complaints. Great protection

[0.765 lb] I've always used these compact cages, designed specifically, for all my Nikon bodies (D850, Z9, Z8). In addition to multiple clamp-on alternatives and handling options they provide lightweight protection.

[1x Cold Shoe] This cage fits my Nikon Z8 perfectly. The fit and finish is awesome. I have not attached anything to the cage yet but I keep it on all the time. It feels good in my hand. Cable clamp did not work too well for my cable (I have a cable that's a little too thick for it, I think). The knobs on the cable clamp could be a little smaller. They sometimes get caught in my camera bag. Since I don't use it much, I keep it off.

[Cage] Fits Nikon Z8 perfectly. Access to all buttons and cable connections. Good fit and finish.

[Nikon Z8] For the price thing thing is really hard to beat. Plenty of mounting options and accessories through SmallRig. The only thing I don't love is that it makes the C2 button and sometimes the Record button difficult to hit whenever you're hand-holding the camera. But all in all it's super handy to have!

[Cage] I researched a bunch of different cages for the A7SIII before deciding on this one.


I really wanted the Tilta cage because of the aesthetics. But I kept coming back to this one because of the eyelet fastener. A lot of cages only fasten the camera at the bottom. However, in run and gun situations, with a heavy rig on a gimbal, or after extended shooting, this can come loose and cause the camera to twist.


The smallrig cage comes with a feature that allows you to screw the camera strap eyelet directly on to the cage, preventing all twisting.


I've made the mistake of buying cool looking cages that weren't the best when it came to getting the job done. Who cares if your cage looks sexy if it's wobbling around on the shoot?


The stabilizing functionality of the SmallRig Cage, combined with the rock solid build quality, made this an easy choice for me. And, if you haven't used a SmallRig HDMI clamp before, it's quite ingenious.


It has a built in lever action that nudges the clamp forward as you tighten it, ensuring that you get a solid grip on the HDMI that will prevent it from moving.


You might find prettier rigs, but if you are worried about protecting your gear and making sure it's perfectly stable while shooting, this is the answer.

[0.765 lb] It allows me to put various accessories on my camera comfortably. For example, monitor, power bank, microphone, portable SSD.

[Nikon Z8] I've been using 8Sinn products and find that they are very well constructed. I have been very satisfied using 8Sinn products.

[1x HDMI Clamp] Great protection with lots of room for add-ons. I shoot a lot of college sports and I couldn’t ask for a better product for my Z8.

[Cage] I didn't want the extra bit of bar that the smallrig cage has over the shutter button, so I went with this cage. It's well built, fits perfectly and fits all the gadgets you want to add!
