Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this charge battery for 5D Mark IV?

A: Yes. This is what I bought it for.

Q: 2. How much does it weigh?

A: Unfortunately, this information has not been provided to us by the manufacturer.

Q: 3. Does this charger work for this LP-E6N battery?

A: Yes; I bought 2 extra Canon batteries, the LP-E6N, and the charger works just fine over the last 18 months.

Q: 4. Has Canon changed the LC-E6 battery charger with the introduction of the new LP-E6N battery?Discussion: I purchased a Canon 60D about 3 years ago that came with the LP-E6 battery. I very recently purchased a Canon 7D Mark II that came with the new LP-E6N battery. Each came with a LC-E6 charger. However, the writing on the back is slightly different between the two chargers and the charger that came with the 60D weighs 4.5 ounces where the one that came with the 7D Mk II weighs less at 4 ounces. Hence, these two battery chargers are not exactly the same. Form, fit & function maybe, but something is different.

A: I wish I could say I can verify... but am not confident that my answer would be correct. I hope someone else responds to assist you!

Q: 5. Does this charge LP-E6NH batteries for R5/R6?

A: Yes.

Q: 6. Can the battery plates be changed? If so, can I charge two different kinds of battery at the same time?

A: We offer plate replacement service - please follow the link. https://www.dolgin.net/zen_dolgin/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7&products_id=27&zenid=0fb90c42c996c8dcedae24780bd13cb4 It typically takes 2-4 workdays to do it. Most of the plates can be mixed, usually in pairs. Contact us directly for specifics as you did not specify what exactly you have in mind to do. https://www.dolgin.net/zen_dolgin/index.php?main_page=contact_us&zenid=0fb90c42c996c8dcedae24780bd13cb4

Q: 7. What is the actual weight of the Dolgin TC40-DSLR-C? The specs list the package weight as less than the unit? Concerned that it may be to heavy to take when you are traveling by air.

A: 2.5 lb

Q: 8. What's the charge time for a pretty dead battery to 100% charge? (as in, how long does it take to charge a battery?)

A: I would estimate 1.5 hours to a full charge.

Q: 9. I have multiple instances of LP-E6, including 2 that came with EOS R and R5 bodies. I didn't pay attention to differences with those newest instances, but now I notice that three of the units are marked as Model DS510101; those units show an output amperage of 1.2A. The unit without that model designation (presumably older) shows amperage of 1A. What is the benefit of that extra .2A output? Is it important for LP-E6N and/or LP-E6NH variants of the batter packs?

A: The LP-E6NH (newer model) has 14% more power than the LP-E6N and is backward compatible with older cameras up to the EOS 60D. Due to the high-resolution and processing power in these new mirrorless cameras, they require a higher-capacity battery. You can also still use the previous LP-E6N and LP-E6 batteries on the EOS R5, but keep in mind they will emit less power.

Q: 10. can it use 12v power to charge LP-E6 batteries? if yes, where and how much for a car charger cord?

A: Wide range input power compatibility (100-240VAC 50-60Hz), 12V with the DC cigarette lighter cord.

[2] Used this charger on a polar bear safari. Super fast charging of both batteries. Charger checks tests the batteries for power and will apply more charge to that battery than the second while still charging both. good for maintaining battery life and charge speed.

[2] We're an organization that has been using individual chargers for years with our DSLR batteries. This device has been a game changer for us. We now always have charged batteries ready to go for those impromptu shoots. We couldn't be more pleased with how this product has helped our workflow.

[3.05 lb] I now own 3 Dolgin dual chargers for various cameras, and have found them to be well made, dural and reliable. Other chargers have often been incapable of fully charing my batteries, but the Dolgins accomplish that in relatively short order.

[2] So easy to use right out of the box. Good build, nice use of lights for charge status. Best battery charger I have used. Simultaneous charge 2 batteries at once independent of one another no matter how much each charge each requires. Great concept for someone like me who always carries 2 batteries with me and 2 others for backup.

[3.05 lb] I recently purchased a smallHD 5 monitor for my FS-100 camera rig. It is powered by two Canon LP-E6 batteries and the kit came with a single battery charger. On my first shoot the batteries drained much quicker than anticipated, and with a 2.5 hour full recharge time I knew I couldn't handle long remote shoots without purchasing four additional batteries and a charger that could pump out fully charged batteries all at the same time. So it was a no brainer to get the Dolgin TC-40 four battery charging station. It's great! But I already knew that because I own two other Dolgin chargers for my SONY L series batteries. Yes, I know it's pricey, but this is a classic example of you getting what you pay for. Yes, I cried once writing the check to pay for it, but now it's pure joy every time I need to crank out fresh batteries as quickly as possible. Heads up this charger takes up a little bit of real estate, so if packing a bag for traveling light is high on your priority list, take its size into consideration. But if you believe time is money, then this charger can be a lifesaver if you go through a number of Canon batteries, especially on long remote shoots.

[LCD Display] Mirrorless cameras eat a lot of battery power, so it's essential to have several batteries on hand and fully charged. This four-station charger makes it easy to keep several batteries ready to go at a moments notice.

[LCD Display] I own several different Dolgin chargers for different camera systems. They are the only chargers that I have been able to find that are made in the USA, and they do their jobs well. In addition, customer service is excellent.

[3.05 lb] This charger is made in the US and does what it is supposed to do in a reliably reproducible fashion. I have a Dolgin charger for each brand of battery that I use for my various camera bodies and have discarded the Chinese chargers that come with the cameras.
