Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the base Arca-Swiss compatible?

A: Yes, the base of the Really Right Stuff Mobile Phone Clamp with Pocket Stand would be compatible for use with tripod heads that use an Arca-type clamp.

Q: 2. Is there a quality case/bag for the tripod and BH-25?

A: Really Right Stuff TFA-01 Ultra Pocket Pod and BH-25 LR Ball Head Package is 8.6'' high. The smallest tripod case Really Right Stuff makes is Really Right Stuff Compact Tripod Bag which is 19''. The smaller tripod cases are made by Oben B&H # OBTB05 (11'') and Mefoto BH #MEMF933 (12.5").

Q: 3. Is the spring loaded hinge between legs and base plate robust or a weak point? Can the spring dislodge easily?

A: There is no issue with the hinge below the base. RRS makes excellent products. The load capacity of this tripod is a solid 15lbs .

Q: 4. When would I use such a small tripod?

A: on a table top to shoot 'home videos'

Q: 5. Does does this tripod compare to the:FEISOL TT-15 Mark 2 Mini Carbon Fiber Tabletop Tripod?

A: Both tripods are very well made. The Frisol tripod is larger with much thicker legs. The RRS is smaller and folds smaller for travel. If you need a compact travel tripod for lighter cameras, the RRS is a great choice. If you're looking for a compact tripod that is slightly bigger and will hold more weight, I'd recommend the Feisol tripod. Both permit the legs to be adjusted to multiple angles.

Q: 6. Does this come with a ballhead?

A: A ball head does not come with the pocket pod.

Q: 7. Is there a recommended carrying case?

A: The following padded wrap will assist when traveling with the unit. Domke 19x19" Color Coded Protective Wrap (Black) https://bhpho.to/3DvAlHC

Q: 8. In highlights it says the load capacity is 8.8 pounds and in the specs it says it is 15 pounds?

A: That's the load capacity for the BH-25 LR Ball Head. The tripod itself is rated to hold 15 pounds. If you get a compatible head with a higher load capacity you should be able to reach that 15 pound load.

Q: 9. Has anybody used this with the BH 30 ballhead?

A: BH-25 fits perfectly.I tried BH-30 also - it fits OK but... BH-30 has slightly larger base dia.

Q: 10. Does this tripod have a bubble level?

A: No, it does not. But add something like this and you'll be able to level your camera: Vello Low Profile Bubble Level BH #VEBLHS1 https://bhpho.to/39PKbp6

I had a previous version of this pocket tripod which did not have locking legs. This new version has a straight forward way of locking the legs at different angles. Ideal for photography of small flowers and mushrooms.

Yes, it's expensive compared to all the other mini-tripods. And, so is the matching RRS BC-18 mini-ball head. But, once you put them together, and mount your DSLR or Mirrorless body and 24-70mm or 70-200mm f2.8 zooms on them, you'll get it! No other min-tripod/ball head combination is as light, easy to adjust, and as stable as this pairing. You only have to buy quality once. So, save up for this one. You won't regret it.

Small and light enough to put in the bag and I load my camera with BH55, that's very stable and smooth operational.

Very small but capable and strong. Works perfect with the RRS BH-25 ballhead.

The build quality and versatility of this can't be overstated. Solid construction. Works well for even a cased Samsung 21Ultra or iPhone 12 Max. All the most important parts ARE METAL. This is important. And, I find that the stand holds up well for portrait or landscape orientation. Steady during low-to-mid high winds, which can come quickly in NYC. Highly recommended! I don't think I'll ever have to replace this thing.

This is perfect for my everyday camera bag. The plastic tube fits perfectly, so I can carry this out and have it with me all the time. For RRS Ball Head, you are going to need the screw adapter, which is included what a great company.

RRS equipment never fails to live up to its cost and this is no exception. It's pretty amazing as to how well this is built and the sturdiness with which it holds my iPhone 8 plus with case. I didn't even have to read the instructions as it was pretty easy to figure out the different configurations. You won't be disappointed in this purchase.

Surprisingly very sturdy for its size, bought for macro and travel. Weighs little of nothing.
