Q: 4. Would I be able to warp it around a Canon F-1?

A: Ruggard 11 x 11" Padded Equipment Wrap (Black) will probably work on the Canon F1. I would recommend using a cloth napkin that you have at home and wrapping the camera with that. Checking which size worked well that allowed the napkin to go all around the camera and would allow the velcro at the ends to overlap over the wrap, keep the wrap tight and then checking which size worked and buy a wrap that offers that similar size.

[0.105 lb] I've used a number of tripod heads over the years but this one may be my favorite. I now shoot with the Nikon Z mirrorless system exclusively so I would recommend getting the 3 Legged Thing L bracket for the Z6/Z7 which really compliments this particular ball head. As for the head itself, it's compact yet extremely sturdy. The ball head adjustment knob dampens down movement in a very precise and controlled way, there is no slop at all, unlike other ball heads. Plus you can use this on any tripod with a 3/8th screw mount. I have mine on a Benro carbon fiber tripod which makes it light as a feather. Another bonus is the leveling bubble which I have found to be extremely helpful especially when dealing with uneven ground. I've been shooting for over 30 years at this point so I'm kind of jaded when it comes to new photo accessories, but I'm absolutely jazzed over this new ball head. It's made tripod shooting so much more pleasant and user friendly. Get one and see for yourself!

[0.105 lb] I bought this to use with a Peak Design tripod with the Universal Head adapter, since I wanted to do pans, and the stock PD head doesn't have a panning capability. Panning axis has just the right amount of resistance, and the large knob locks the ball securely for my DSLR with a 200mm. I didn't miss/don't see the need for a separate friction control on a ball this size. Great compact travel head.

[0.105 lb] It works as advertised. The quality and performance is perfect. Definitely recommend. I added it to the Peak Design CF tripod for the panning aspect.

[0.105 lb] I've been using this tripod on a regular basis for a bit over a year now, for the most part, I love it. It's quality built, stable yet versatile for what I need it to do, and is lightweight to haul around.

My one warning is to watch your fingers! It is riddled with pinch points. It has made me bleed. It has made others bleed. It has brought me (close) to tears in front of customers/clients.

But overall, I really like it.

[0.105 lb] From first seeing this tripod reviewed I liked the name and the design, from the large rubber padded twist locks to the center star and accessory plate, all finely machined/cast and then there's the brash/punky/rocky and somewhat perverse humor of the Brand and it's creators, which I also liked.

There Winston 2.0 Sits with the wrong head for the bigger kit!

But, apart from all that 3 Legged Thing is a brand line of very fine and sturdy equipment. I like clean and elegant design that's also robust and can take normal and more extreme use. This tripod fulfills JUST that as compared to an arguably more elegantly designed and famous competitor at almost twice the price and with which I would certainly NOT even beat a rabid dog with. I own one of those and it's deliciously elegant and FLIMSY! It only supports 19 pounds, does not extend high enough for my liking, whereas Winston 2.0 supports a whopping 88 pounds (and that's the size of the rabid dog I beat with it this very morning!) and it is only slightly less compact that the Famous competitor and only 1 pound heavier!

ALL in ALL it's taken it's place along with my heavier workhorses in the studio and the field, from high mountain treks to desert sands and everywhere in between over the past 50 years.

[0.105 lb] I purchased this tripod to replace a Vanguard Carbon Fiber tripod. I have to say that this is quite a step up. Winston is very versatile and solidly built. I was primarily looking for a stable tripod that could also be used for travel. This tripod, while not a travel tripod, fits that build. I've used it with my Canon 7D Mark ii coupled with a Tamron 150-600mm lens, a hefty combo, and it has been very stable. I had a difficult time choosing between this tripod and either a Benro Rhino or Mach 3, all of which have similar specs and get excellent reviews. Normally, I would have gone with the Benro, but decided to take a chance on 3 Legged Thing, and so far I'm glad I did. B&H delivery was excellent, as I assumed it would be. I'd definitely recommend.
