[Aluminum] It s the most affordable device you can find to download multiple sd card at the same time. You can plug either sd cards readers or even usb hub. Just love it.

[3.475 lb] This is a great product. I've converted a few computers from the old HDD drives to SSD drives and I use this dock whenever I need to access the data from the older drives. This is working perfectly. It is described as plug and play, and I can verify that is true. It works right away for me, no need for drivers. I connected it and it was seen immediately by my computer. This dock is also very versatile. It can hold 3.5 hard drives (HDD) as well as 2.5 drives (SSD). I'm thinking of buying some of the 2.5 SSD's to use with this for storage and back-ups, which will save me the expense of buying enclosures. Comes with a USB-B to USB-A 3.2 cable which is a nice addition. Being hot-swappable is convenient. And this might sound silly, but I like that it has a power button so I can leave it connected to my computer but turn it off when not in use. I really like that feature. [Aluminum] Recently I had a PC die on me. I pulled the 3.5 Hard Drives and 2.5 SSD's and used the Xcellon USB 3.2 Gen 1 Hard Drive Dock to boot them on my iMac and transfer files.


It booted the drives almost instantly and required no software drivers which is nice. Being able to hot-swap drives is a great addition as well.


It is perfect for what I need it for.

[Aluminum] I'm able to dock a combination of multiple Samsung T5/T7(not the T7 Shield)drives, CF Express card reader and with the included mini hub two external backup drives with one cable to my MB Pro.

[3.475 lb] I used this to store the original 512GB SSD that came with my Zbook Studio 16 as I've upgraded it with a Samsung 980 Pro 2TB drive. Using Macrium Reflect, I was able to image the new SSD with the factory image to the SSD stored in this enclosure. Speed was excellent with no apparent slowdowns during this sustained writing process. Temps were somewhat warm but certainly not hot.


I've since used this enclosure to store OS backup images. Again with no issues.


Installation is straightforward using the included instructions. Though the rubber fastener at the end of the m.2 SDD is a little finicky. But since they were going to a tool-less design, I can't really complain.

[3.475 lb] The Xcellon USB 3.2 Gen 1 Hard Drive Dock is the perfect replacement for another dock I had from another brand that never got to properly power larger capacity drives as they will disconnect. Not a good thing when writing data!!

This one keeps up, providing enough power and speed consistency.

First, I tested transferring several files, one experiment was transferring video only, the other was transferring photos. No issues.

Lastly, I cloned one drive to another as a backup, using a M.2 drive (C) (windows) to a HDD docked in this Xcellon.

I'd recommend getting two of these, especially useful for cloning internal HDD disks one to another, you know... the ones you keep in the drawer to occasionally access data from them.

Easy drive swapping, lots of storage, safely outside your computers, kept new, not wearing and tearing its mechanisms.

Keep in mind that, when using regular HDDs, instead of SSDs, it usually starts transferring very fast (see pictures I included) then it drops down like any HDD I've ever used, (internally, externally, docked, or inside a HDD case). This is normal.

IMPORTANT!!!!! Always keep the doc's openings covered with either a piece of shipping tape, plastic or gaffer tape so the SATA terminals are as clean as when you first unboxed this product for problem free data transfers.

Overall, pretty happy with this dock.

[Aluminum] Useful solution to an ongoing problem. I spent more time swapping SD cards out than I did transferring the data – this took care of that.

[Aluminum] This is a basic hard drive dock and it does the job just fine. Plug and play, works great with my iMac. No problems thus far. Thinking of buying another one, so that says a lot right there.
