[Still Only] Leica MP is simply the best, there is no way around it. However, buying my first Leica with BHphoto is probably the best decision I’ve had. I had experience with Adorama but BHphoto customer service is far superior. No return return fees (Adorama does make you pay return fees), exchange/return convenience, and fast shipping. If you decide between the two, BHphoto would be the best option as it gives you a peace of mind knowing that they will take care their customer. I had an issue with the first order and had to exchanged it. I called them and explained the situation and they exchanged it with no questions asked. Simply the best customer service by far. It reminds me of REI customer service (if you live in PNW you’ll know what I’m talking about). They have a customer for life. Thank you, BHphoto!

[DNG, JPEG] Now that I've been shooting with my Leica M9 and Leica M8.2 Digital Camera Bodies, I have developed an interest in trying film. This Leica MP, fits my needs and interests completely in this regard. My Leica MP, is very well constructed, and it's a camera I intend to use for the rest of my life. Another benefit to me is that I will develop and scan my own film at home; and, as a result, I am learning so much more and developing a greater appreciation for photography than I would have from use of my digital cameras alone. With such reasonable costs and high quality of today's scanners that are available for home use, and film processing kits such as the Tetenal, C-41 Press Kit (also, available from B&H Photo), just about anyone should be able to shoot/develop/scan their own film, and subsquently handle the images similarly as one would do with images from ones digital cameras.

[Leica M] First - I wish I knew B&H was going to sell these because I bought mine direct from Pixii and would have used B&H. Now the camera is definitely different and I didn't want to buy a used M8, M-P, etc... But I down own a used M10-R and wanted to use the lenses on another body. I really love the concept of this camera but it will not suit everyone, so know what you are buying. Its really fun to use, viewfinder and focusing with a variety of lenses has been perfect. I tend to use 21mm or 28mm Voigtlander and TTArtisan lenses to adjust for the crop factor and still shoot wide. There is a learning curve to this, so for me, I had to map the double-tap of the back button to be exposure comp for instance. But it can be many other functions. I do occasionally get strange failures, so you may not want to use this for your critical shots, but for my casual use its fine. The mobile app is good but needs some tweaks. I do like how quickly the pictures transfer on WiFi, plus the firmware and software updates over the air are nice. And when you contact support, you get directly to an actual engineer type, which is really cool. A luxury while the company is small but its so nice for now. So try this if you are curious and do not give up on it if its not a Leica, its just different.

[3:2] This is the goat when it comes to 35mm film camera. I 'm glad Leica is still making it. Love it!

If you are thinking about MA get this and just take the battery out.

[Leica M] The best film camera you can currently buy. It's a joy to use and such a wonderful experience compared to digital. Highly recommended.

[100%] When it comes to rangefinders, this is the goat. It will outlast you. There is nothing quite like it. I don't even want to look at the re-issue M6. The value of the MP will appreciate as evident by its steadily increased pricing over the years. When you pass this camera to your grandchildren, they will appreciate the value. Need I say more?

[Leica M] It is always a treat to use Leica M cameras and this MP model is outstanding. The MP is a wonderful tool for creating images that feel totally handcrafted in that special Leica M way.

[32 GB] I purchased the Leica MP with a 35mm F/2 Summicron and use this for general walk-around/travel photography. I don't consider myself a street photographer, but I've been intrigued with rangefinder cameras for quite some time. Build quality is amazing. The camera feels like a solid block of metal. I would have preferred a match needle meter instead of the LED lights, but there's really not much to complain about. I'm a left-eye shooter, so things can get a little uncomfortable with the winder, but I'm used to that from my older cameras. Holding the camera properly takes some getting used to. I found myself covering the rangefinder mirror on the right side by accident on a few occassions. Also, I wish faster shutterspeeds were available, but I understand there are limitations due to the type of shutter used. Overall, the MP is a pleasure to use, and is quickly becoming my favorite camera.
