The RRS PT-Scout Pan & Tilt Head with SC-ARC Clampfrom RRS PT-Scout Pan & Tilt Head with SC-ARC Clampis a pan-and-tilt head designed for robustness, flexibility, and operational readiness. It is made to get the most out of binoculars, spotting scopes, and other sport optics. The PT-Scout's adjustable drag provides smooth tracking and steadfast stability for precision control, crucial for achieving success in scouting missions. It features a panning handle that extends by 2" for finer control and is removable for more compact storage. The panning handle and the brake-and-drag adjustment knob are swappable for left or right hand compatible usage. The base of the T-Scout is an Arca-type compatible foot for easily mounting to any compatible clamp and also has a standard 3/8"-16 threaded socket for mounting directly to a tripod leg set.

This durable head comes complete with an Arca-type/Picatinny compatible clamp with a precision-numbered scale. The clamp has a classic-style locking knob for secure clamping.

A: It is possible, but will be hard as it is difficult to move in very precise small increments consistently.

Q: 7. Is there anyway to mount the 1/4 thread to a 3/8 threaded head? I have a Manfrotto Giant stand that has a 3/8 thread and I want to attach it directly to the tripod without using a quick release.

A: Yes, I bought an adaptor that looks like a flat washer on the bottom. It holds this unit along with a blackmagic studio camera and lens. No issue so far.

Q: 8. is it possible to control this with a ptz joystick controller?

A: No, the CamRanger PT Hub and MP-360 Pan/Tilt Head cannot be controlled by a PTZ joystick controller as they do not support the control protocols for the unit.

Q: 9. Is this setup compatible with a Lumix DMC FZ2599?

A: No, it is not compatible with the FZ2500.

Q: 10. Does this wireless remote system work with any camcorders also, or just with still cameras as pictured?

A: The unit is a platform, like a tripod. It pans and tilt. I use with my It my Panasonic GH3 with a 25 MM lens, no problem.

[Pan & Tilt Head] This monopod head is perfect for birding. The tilt knob is easy to manipulate and readjust quickly. The levels are great for keeping an eye on camera position. The camera lock-in is nice and secure. I was delighted to have this gadget when photographing a bird high up in a tree directly above my head:) 5

[3/8"-16 Female] I purchased this head to mount on my monopod to support my Nikon Z 9 and 160-600 mm lens and 1.4 TC. The tilt and pan features are very smooth and easy to make adjustments to. The Arca Swiss style plate works perfectly with the KES feet on all of my lenses. 5

[Pan & Tilt Head] Purchased this Head to use with my 70-200mm 2.8l is Lens. Used this for sports photography. Head performed beautifully on my monopod. Also works extremely well on Tripods. It features a panning top portion so I may use this with other arca compatible systems that may not be oriented correctly like advanced flash brackets or nodal rails. Weigh's more than a pound. It's a Tripod Head & Monopod Tilt Head all in one. Highly recommended. 5

[360°] This compact lightweight pant-tilt head attaches directly to the RRS cinch-lr binocular adapter or any Arca Swiss compatible accessory. I’ve tried it with my compact 20x60 spotting scope and the 10x binoculars atop a RRS monopod and it is absolutely perfect for rapidly hiking to a location and then viewing the ocean, headlands or terrain. Although I only hunt with a camera, I can see the benefit of this for nature observation and lightweight photography needs. For instance, I took a video and panoramic photos atop the same monopod during a storm with force 3 to 4 winds, and they came out perfect. I’m looking forward to trying it on my ultralight carbon tripod. This pan-tilt head is highly recommended 5/5. 5

[Yes] Owned a CamRanger and then upgraded to CamRanger 2. Really like it. Decided to add the PT Hub and MP-360 Pan/Tilt. After a small snag (MP-360 didn't work...found I had one dead battery) I am VERY happy. Intuitive to use. Accurate. Great images first time out (while in the warmth of my home got some great bird pictures). Would recommend if you have the $$ and desire. 5

[3/8"-16 Female] This is really a great design and very well made. The adjustment knob was too tight out of the box and it seemed like I would have to return it. Glad I didn't! A padded Channel Lock pliers got it loose and after that all was great! I little turn on the knob permits tilt and pan and a larger turn releases the side to side movement like a Ball Head. So if you don't want total freedom like a ball head, you just loosen the knob a little and you can tilt forward and back and of course rotate to pan as well. My new favorite tripod head! 5
