[Aluminum] I've only used it twice so far, but it's perfect. As a one man band, it's so easy to use, lightweight and smooth as can be. Did I hesitate when looking at the price tag? Yep. Is it worth it? Completely.

[Yes] Very smooth and rigid considering the design... much easier to bring on shoots than a traditional rail slider.

[Aluminum] I bought the Sachtler Aktiv6 flow tech 75 (replacing the FSB6) based on a recommendation from renown adventure cinematographer Keith Partridge (Touching the Void). The tripod behaves exactly the way I want it to, from the quick-release legs, micro adjustment range and Aktiv6 head, to the weight and maneuverability. The side-mount plate system is superb. If you you're wearing gloves in an extreme environment, you want the controls to be accessible and easily-adjusted. Likewise, in a jungle environment, it hold up well to moisture and mud, which is easily washed off. One of my favourite features is the illuminating level--key in evening shoots where I don't want to affect ambient light with sudden headlamp pollution. The carrying handle is a nice bonus feature. Set up took me 15 minutes, without frustration. Thing of beauty. Can't imagine ever changing it, unless it's for the aktiv8...

[Yes] I've owned 4 of these for almost 2 years now and have put them through some pretty strenuous shoots and have had no problems. I was super skeptical when making the decision to buy and have not regretted it. These are every bit the head and sticks Sachtler systems are at half the price (no offense Sachtler, I love you too). I have put full size broadcast cameras with 40x barrel lens rigs on them with no compromise in stability, smoothness and support. Same with larger (17) prompter systems. Comfortable spring settings, pan and tilt tension...easy leveling, stable arms, smooth plate slide adjustment, extra bolt storage, solid locks on the leg stages...I'm completely satisfied with them.

[Aluminum] For delicate works, it is an unalterable accessory. Practical and light to carry, it saves you a lot of grip material.

[Yes] If you value your time and want to reduce stress in your life, get this tripod. I've gone through the tripod shuffle. Buy the BEST tripod you can afford because in the end, you will want one like this.

I now have two and want to replace my 3rd Gitzo / FSB8 combo with another of these.

The fact that this goes to 0 for tilt is great for smaller cameras like the Sony PXW-z90 or an a6400 mirrorless. But can handle a fully rigged Fs6.

The flow tech legs are a game changer. It is SUPER easy to set two tripods at the SAME height. This would be very time consuming with traditional legs. With a flick of a lever, you can adjust the bowl.

All this time adds up and when it's a joy to use, you no longer think about how much it cost.

TLDR: buy this tripod and you'll be happy you did

[+90° to -75°] The heaviness to it is nice. When you move it, it feels solid and not shaky. Goes in your backpack or luggage very easily. There are negatives but if you aware of them before buying you can make a workflow work for you. If you plan on shooting an external audio mic on top of the camera, be aware that it may pickup the gear wheel sound in the slider. If shooting lav or boom for most of your videos you are gravy. It also helps to by a tabletop tripod so you can use the slider on the ground or tables when a tripod is not necessary. I like this slider for the price, and a good stand-in until you can upgrade to the Edelkrone motion kit.

[Fixed 2-Step] It took a while to actually get the tripod but it was worth the wait! Upgrading to a tripod that works so well and is designed to work perfectly is such a blessing. Everything from the ease of use when you're adjusting the height, or leveling the head of the tripod to small things like the magnets that hold the legs together and the balancing bubble that lights up; everything was thought out when making this tripod and I'm absolutely in love with it!

[Fixed 2-Step] This piece is as smooth as silk. Perfect for wedding films. I have nothing negative to say.
