[Black] This tripod is light and stable considering what it is. The 62 height is good for my work, mainly filing performance art, and when you add a head like the 504 and a camera on top you're up in the 6' range. As a twin leg tripod with a mid-level spreader it's a good option. I use it for video mainly but also for large lens support hooting photos as the lens can rotate in its collar. This model can take the ground level spreader as well. I have that model as well but couldn't get the mid-level spreader for it as there aren't proper couplers on that model. It uses the older spreader like the 546b. This new spreader is a better design with twin push-in pins securing it. For my type of shooting it wasn't worth buying the newer model that can be used without the spreader. I have a separate independent leg tripod I use in that scenario.


Pair this with the appropriate half ball and head and you should have a solid base.

[Black] Fits older model sticks. Manfrotto 545B Pro Aluminum in this case. Brings the old sticks back to life. Using on daily productions. Product comes with hardware to fit. A little flimsy and rattles a bit when deploying, but solid once st up. Quality product from Manfrotto.

[Black] I bought the tripod without the spreader and used it like that for a couple months. �It works ok like that, but it works much better with the spreader, and it didn't cost that much more. �It's well worth it.

[Black] I chose this Mid-Level spreader for use with my Vinten 3776-3 ENG Carbon Fiber 2-Stage Pozi-Loc Tripod Legs. It's especially good for use outdoors; but, really it's useful anywhere. Installing on the legs was a snap. Setup is fast no futzing with this leg falling that way and the others falling another. The pleasant surprise is the fact that this spreader is geared and uniformly spreads the legs -- awesome! What's more, it has a locking/unlocking dial with easy to read symbols for my aging eyes; AND, if you forget it's locked -- surprise, surprise -- there's a clutch mechanism that gives way instead of your tripod or spreader or worse breaking. The rubber feet take the edge off the spikes adding a level of protection for indoor carpets, tile, and hardwood floors.
