A: This i a little difficult to answer since the opening arms have a small lip on them. Minimum appears to be 1 7/8 inch or 50 mm; widest opening is approximately 3 5/8 or 90 mm. It's a very stiff spring so very hard to hold it open and measure it. It works fine with my iPhone 5s which is why I bought it. My spouse's iPhone 6plus also fits easily.

Q: 9. I would need to pivot the light downward, it appears with the bracket and barn doors it's very limited. What adjustable mount would be suitable to use between the light stand and light head?

A: The yoke does not pivot up or down (vertically) but the My 1X1 Dracast light does pivot down about 22 degrees within the yoke before barn doors start blocking light, 45 degrees max. Also the yoke has a second mounting hole (front to back) that lets you mount it horizontally. The light will point straight down without interference.
