With an exposure reduction from 1.3 to 6 stops, the 0.4 to 1.8 density serves to darken the entire image. A side lever allows for easy rotation of the filter while an integrated exposure locking ring prevents accidental rotation and changes to density values. The filter is constructed from high-quality German Schott optical glass and features a 16-layer multi-resistance coating, which reduces reflection, ghosting, and lens flare, while being water-, oil-, and dust- resistant.

Due to the curvature of wide-angle lenses, vignetting will occur if used on wide-angle lenses from 14mm up to 19mm on full-frame cameras.

A: It fits, and works, but there is a down side.Every Beauty Dish has a soft area (the area which is covered by the deflector plate) and hard area (the area which is !not! covered by the deflector plate). If the grid is used with just the Beauty Dish, then it shows the grid pattern in the hard area (because its 50, and made for a softbox rather than a Beauty Dish). This can only be avoided by using it in conjunction with the diffuser (sock) - but than, its a little octa and not a Beauty Dish anymore. ;(Like it anyway.
