IRCAM Verb provides 16 input and output channels, presenting the option for reverberation processing in multichannel and surround formats, including 3rd order Ambisonics and Dolby Atmos. With a built in I/O routing matrix, instant flexibility is provided for configuring the I/O in relation to the physical audio monitoring in the control room.

IRCAM Verb offers a set of 3-band filters applied to each part of the time structure for fine-tuning the reverberation characteristics. You are provided with graphical representations of Early, Cluster, and Reverb, and  with controls for High Density (standard / high-density reverberation engine), Early, Cluster, and Reverb On/Solo controls, and Room Size, Reverb Start, and Reverb Gain controls.

Creative reverb options include:

  • Infinite deep-freezes the reverb
  • Air Absorption / Roll Frequency simulates frequency-dependent air absorption
  • Modal Density adjusts the frequency smoothness of the Verb engine
  • Panning offers virtual source panning-direction offset
  • Width allows you to manipulate the panning width
  • Diffuseness controls the directional information of the reverberation

Early Time Structure controls include Early Shape, which controls the amplitude rise or fall of early reflections, Early Min, which controls the time at which the early reflections start to appear, Early Max controls the time at which the early reflections cease to appear, and Early Distribution controls the way in which early reflections are scattered in time.

Cluster Time Structure controls include Cluster Min, which controls the time at which the Cluster starts to appear, Cluster Max, which controls the time at which the Cluster ceases to appear, and Cluster Distribution, which controls the way in which the Cluster is scattered in time.

The built in preset manager and the preset morphing slider provide instant and intuitive control of all parameters and controls. With simple one-click operation, everything is copied from one of the two preset slots to the other, even during playback. The two Preset/Parameter slots, A and B, can be loaded with two full sets of parameters at the same time, and the morphing slider allows you to mix them and record the morph with the host automation.

A: The Godox TX3-XLR Plug-On Wireless Transmitter features an adjustable 20 or 50mW output power option for a specified operating range of 196.9' / 60 m (Line of Sight), making it less susceptible to drop-outs. Noise floor experienced would be largely dictated by the specifications of the microphone connected. Although not specified, input gain adjustment is likely possible on the transmitter but not the receiver.

[Download] I had a lite version with Edius 10 video editing software. It worked pretty good. So I bought the full version to run with Resolve 17 and Adobe Audition. It works really well on natural room reverb.

[Download] lightweight, portable temporary walls, easily put in place when I'm recording or on a zoom call. Easy to unzip and set to the side. I'm ordering one more so I have 4! The feet do fall out when moving them with is mildly annoying but overall an excellent product and worth the extra #$ compared to other options if you care about sound quality.

[Download] I recently purchased the Lexicon PCM Reverb Bundle and I am in love. I have several other great and often-used reverb plug-ins, but to me these Lex's seem to sit in mixes nicely and in most instances, seem to be lighter on the CPU than most other units of comparable quality. I am primarily running these in Pro Tools 10.3 (RTAS) on a Win7-64 system without a hitch. They also run flawlessly in Reaper 32 and 64 bit as VST on the same Win 7-64 machine. Just for kicks I also ran them inside PT as a VST Rewire without a problem. I am hoping they will develop an AAX version at a reasonable cost to upgrade before PT releases 11. The high cost of these has always been the reason I put off getting these, but they are well worth it.
