Controls on the Pico POG include dedicated volume knobs for the Sub Octave, Octave Up, and Dry voices. Dial in Sub Octave to add stumble, rumble, or monstrous thunder. Add Octave Up for ethereal air, or max it out to shred into another galaxy. Use Dry to balance the madness with your unprocessed tone. These three controls act as a mixer for nearly unlimited voice mixing possibilities.

The Tone knob features three modes controlled by the Filter button:

  • Tone mode: this mode applies a tilt EQ to the whole output, with a flat frequency response in the center, more treble and less bass as you turn clockwise, and less treble with more bass as you turn counterclockwise
  • Low-Pass mode: this adds a resonant low-pass filter, which allows low frequencies to pass while cutting higher frequencies of the Sub and Octave Up voices
  • High-Pass mode: here a high-pass filter is applied, which allows high frequencies to pass while cutting the lower frequencies of the Sub and Octave Up voices

Q: 4. What is the difference in brightness if running on a 15amp plug compared to a 20 amp plug?

A: The Aputure Electro Storm CS15 RGB LED Monolight can be powered from some household circuits. The CS15 requires more than 110v/15a to operate at full power so in the US, there are multiple cables available. A 20a Edison connector will allow full power and a 15a Edison plug will inform the Control Box to automatically limit power draw. There is no information about the exact output using a 15a plug.

[Metal] Yes, this pedal is pretty cool! I particularly like the orchestra and choir voices, though the rest are interesting too. I got it, added it to my pedal board, and tried it out at a gig. Audience members were looking around trying to figure out where all the orchestral sounds were coming from. My bandmates thought it was hilarious that our scrappy garage band suddenly had this new big production sound.

[680 Ohms] First of all, this pedal has so many features and applications. Four different octaves, attack, and low-pass filter (I don't use the detune much, but others probably would get some mileage out of it), plus a built-in presets footswitch. One note: if you are powering your pedalboard with a dedicated pedal power supply, only certain combinations of power supply and pedals will work if you include the POG2. Do some research online if you already have a pedal power supply or if you will add one in the future. Even though this was a special delivery order and not something that B&H carries in stock, B&H delivered very quickly.

[2.2 Megohms] well, I have dozens of pedals, but this one still amazes me from the first day I bought it. spectacular slow down feature, selectable waveforms, 16-step sequencer, envelope, presets, tap tempo (along with tap-in port), expression support, tons of subdivisions... well, it just does everything, in STEREO, and still it's all analog. can be really as slow and as lighting-ring-mod-like fast as you want: the rate button works like a gear switch for precise adjustments. also, we all know EHX doesn't look good at times, but the visuals we got here are just awesome, sorts of retro spaceship with those leds on top (those don't only look nice, but also an important part of its UI). real candy to look at. there's only one con: the thing isn't small and won't fit small boards, but at least all the controls are visible, no hidden settings etc. Devs at EHX could make it smaller and even save some money on electronic parts, but it's big by design: both features and sounds wise.

[1.21 lb] I got the last one in stock (time to reorder, B&H!) and I can see why... the Mel9 pedal adds a completely new vibe to any electric guitar setup. It's very dynamic and responsive, only slightly losing track with very soft notes. Send the dry out to one amp, and the effect out to another (or the sound board) and your sound palette gets very big very quickly. Like everyone else probably did, I immediately dialed in the flute sound and learned Strawberry Fields Forever, but it doesn't stop there. Strings, cello, orchestra and choir sounds are super-fun and very authentic - even down to the warbly tape sound. One thing I'm considering is putting an EQ pedal on Mel9 as its sounds can be a little harsh in the midrange. Dial that back, add some reverb, set the attack and decay at about 1 o'clock, and you have a string pad like keyboard players have always enjoyed - at a fraction of the cost of MIDI guitar synth. Play around with pickup settings too, as the effect sound definitely responds differently to neck vs. bridge pickups. Playing speed is also a factor... most of the sounds take a little time to bloom, so staccato, rapid picking probably won't let the sounds fully develop. But for adding a huge layer and vintage texture to your sound, the Mel9 is where it's at. I can't wait to try it on bass guitar too. This one will be used a lot.

[+2.1 dBu] The EHX series of organ pedals are a breath of fresh air in an industry that seems content recycling the same basic stompbox designs. You can get a wide range of sounds that go from subtle organ texture to bizarre voicings. Having a dry signal out is fantastic for players like me (bass) who want to keep an uneffected signal to my bass rig. Meanwhile I can run the organ sounds into a separate amp and/or series of pedals and tweak to taste. I'm not sure I'll use it in a live setting much, but its a blast to record and play with.

[2.2 Megohms] Love the sound of electro-harmonix. this provides a great fuzz. I prefer a fuzz over a distortion. this may be my favorite pedal especially with the electro harmonix small stone.

[Metal] This is the best delay / slap-back echo / mod machine I've ever heard. There are versatile sounds for every need, with responsive controls to dial in the perfect effect. Plus, the secret secondary controls make this even more customizable. The looper is lots of fun, though might be a little difficult to pull off live onstage. Basically, if you're looking for a versatile delay, with some added modular swirly/shimmery sounds and a looper thrown in for good measure, stop reading this and buy this pedal. Just be prepared to sit in front your amp and enjoy exploring the sounds this pedal provides, for hours! Highly recommended!

[680 Ohms] Best chorus I've played. Limited range but sounds so good. The modern 9v plug is a bonus.
