[2800 MB/s ] Super fast for SSD drives. Small and easy to use. A winner! Legendary B & H fast delivery.

[Yes ] I purchased the 4M2 recently after using the ThunderBay 4 mini for many years. It is almost exactly twice as fast. I mostly use the 4M2 on my 2017 iMac with Thunderbolt 3 ports. I had used the ThunderBay 4 mini via a Thunderbolt 3 to 2 adaptor. The ThunderBay 4 mini is completely silent while the 4M2 has a very quiet fan. I think the reviews about the 4M2 being very noisy are overblown. I don't find it overly noisy at all.

I am very happy with the 4M2 and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good value. Very sturdy construction and great performance.

[3.575 lb] This enclosure with some NVME drives are blazing fast for edits in FCP. The softraid software that comes with it made it easy to set up in RAID 10

[1 x 72 W] I was looking for an external SSD setup of some sort for working with more robust video files. I got this thing and threw 4 Western Digital 1TB Black M.2 SSD's (on sale for $135 each) and am getting 2200-2300 MB/s read/write. From my iMacs internal SSD the speeds are just insane, I copied a 25GB file from my desktop to this drive in about 10 seconds. I could immediately feel a difference when editing, stuff rendered much faster and files seemed to play back smoother. Really happy overall, Softraid software seems to work well too. And I dont know why people expected to get 2000 MB/s from a single SSD drive, gotta go RAID 0 for that.

[Yes ] The OWC Express 4M2 is proving to be just what I expected. It's small, cool and quiet. I populated the box with 4 XPG 2TB SX8200 Pros and configured it as RAID4 with the free SoftRAID 6 upgrade. Plugged into my TB2 iMac, it's giving me 1300MB/s read, making 4k editing and grading a breeze.

[3.575 lb] Got this for editing, threw 4 1TB WD Black SSD's in there in RAID 0 and the thing screams, 2300ish read and write. I hope they make and updated version that supports gen4 SSD's, I'm sure those will do like 7000-8000 read/write.

[Yes ] Purchased to help with Offload and transcode speeds when working with slower client drives for back up. Loaded up with 4 of the intel 660p nvme M.2 2tb sticks. In RAID 0 config getting sustained read/write around 2400 MBps over thunderbolt 3 on 2018 MacBook Pro and using Apple’s thunderbolt 2 to thunderbolt 3 adapter getting around 1300 MBps on 2013 Mac Pro 6,1 (The drive maxes out the tb2 lane) over all very happy with the performance for transcode gigs. Beware it does get very hot. I did have a couple force ejects from knocking a connection and hot plugging it did force the system to crash and reboot. Otherwise no complaints so far.

[3.575 lb] I deal with video editing and this is probably the best choice for performance focused external RAID. I use four 1TB disks (Samsung EVO Plus) in a RAID 0 configuration. Write is about 2750 and the read is about 2250. At these speeds Final Cut just flies in the air!!! I recommend this configuration!
