[Arca-Type Plate] I love using this cage with the Kondor Blue v-mount battery plate and monitor mount. I added a small rig side handle to finish it off. It's awesome!

[Arca-Type Plate] Purchased the unit for an upcoming shoot I am doing.
It is a well made product that was thought out. The fit is good with the camera quickly removable from the cage with the Arca Swiss mount on the cage.
I contacted customer service about some other accessories and they were very helpful in selecting them.

[1.46 lb] I own and love many Kondor Blue products, and the Talon Top Handle has to be one of my favorites. I'm surprised no one has reviewed this thing yet. In a seemingly endless sea of camera rig brands and products, this handle stands out for it's clever design and superb functionality. It's a little heavier than some similar-sized handles, but it feels nice and compact. By putting the vertical support between your first and middle fingers, you have a grip that feels more secure. I have medium-sized hands, and my hand fits the split design perfectly. If you have big ol' bear paws, your pinkie may hang off the end. The firm but rubbery pad is comfortable. There is an excellent variety of mounting options that includes a 1/4-20 mount, two 1/4-20 mounts with locating pins, a 3/8 mount with locating pins, two combo 3/8 mounts with locating pins and 1/4-20 inserts, two cold shoes and two NATO lengths. And, a built-in wrench and a bubble level. I own two of these for my R5C and C70 cameras. In my humble opinion, one of the best-designed top handles out there.

[1.46 lb] I really like this handle. It has excellent build quality. There are a number of mounting points on the handle - I would rarely use them, but if I ever need them, having them is a plus. The rubber grip portion has a soft texture, but it is still a solid, firm grip. I have medium-sized hands, and this handle is perfect for my hand size as well as how I like to hold the handle. If you want to hold your camera rig handle like a medieval claymore, this may not be the handle for you. If you hold camera rig handles like I do - with my thumb on the backside, over the enamel Kondor badge in this case - you might find it quite comfortable.

[Cage] Top notch shoulder rig for various camera sizes. Kondor Blue parts are well built, rugged, and quickly adjustable... which is why I think they're the best rig attachments out there. Nothing comes loose or moves around on me during critical production moments. I paired it with my Sony Z190, Atomos Shinobi 5 4k monitor, and the Libec ZFC-L LANC Zoom and Focus control. A+ rig which I highly recommend!

[Cage] nice cage. I did long research and choose Kondor, because it's easy to load and unload.

[1x Cold Shoe] This cage is amazing, the quality is fantastic, the modular design is incredibly useful. Kondor Blue has the best customer service I've ever experienced. I had a package stolen over Xmas and while the company didn't have to do anything, they generously replaced my cage at no extra cost.
Truly a first rate company, I will be a customer for life.

[Arca-Type Plate] I will need to attach the XLR-K3M audio module, and 1-2 wireless receivers to my Sony A7S iii. With the Kondor Blue handle attached, I don't see the clearance to attach the XLR-K3M directly to the hot shoe, but I plan (do not have the module yet) to use an extender cable, and fit the XLR-K3M on a cold shoe, and there seems clearance for that.

The red button on the handle will start/stop video on the camera. With the cable plugged in, the flippy screen will not rotate completely, however there seems to be enough rotation to look down on the screen when the camera is held at waist level. BTW even with a HDMI cable plugged in, I believe the screen can still be tilted some.

Battery, plug, and media doors open fine.

This cage is held in place through the camera's tripod mount. The cage can be slipped on and off quickly, but you will need to remove the lens first.


There is no ready-made way to use the handle at 90 deg to the camera, however I suppose it could be done with the addition of a cold shoe, as that is what the handle fits.


Kondor Blue includes two hex keys and a screwdriver/bottle opener tool.
