A: This one has a 7 hour charge time while the K-KJ55 has a 3 hour charge time.

Q: 2. Can this charger be used for eneloop pro batteries also?

A: YES! Also when charging only charge the same batteries together; that is, batteries with the same voltage and preferably with the same maH

Q: 3. Are these made in China or Japan?

A: These batteries are made in Japan.

Q: 4. How long does it take to fully charge these batteries when using the Panasonic charger? Thanks.

A: 2 hours from 10% to 100%

A: Yes this model is the new up to date version. The company before was Sanyo, and now Panasonic has taken over.

Q: 9. Can these be used for solar lights?

A: According to Panasonic, Eneloop batteries such as the Panasonic Eneloop AA Rechargeable Ni-MH Batteries (2000mAh, Pack of 4) (B&H #PA3MCCA4BA) will have shorter operation times at extreme ends of their usable temperatures but may nevertheless be used from -4 Fahrenheit (-20 Celsius) to 122 Fahrenheit (50 Celsius). As such, these Eneloops would be ideal for many but not all outdoor installations of solar lights as that will depend on the temperature range in your area. They should be kept dry at all times, however.

Q: 10. What are the differences with the panasonic eneloop battery chargers?

A: The Pro charger is more powerful, as the Pro batteries have a higher capacity.

[1.2 V] I've been using eneloop batteries since 2006 and it wasn't until last year that a few of the oldest ones started dying. I used keep a few spare alkaline batteries around as backups, only to have them self-corrode on the shelf long before their expiration date. I don't bother with that anymore since the eneloops maintain charge in storage well enough that they are more reliable than alkaline even for emergency backups.

[NiMH] I've used these all over since they first came out and have never had one be defective or die prematurely. Very reliable.

[2000 mAh] I have been using these for years. No failures and they hold a charge for a long time. Converting to these for nearly everything because I am tired of name brand alkaline batteries going dead and leaking and ruining stuff. Better than anything else out there for sure!!!

[2000 mAh] I was looking for easy to use rechargeable batteries. BH is a huge place and the first sales assistant showed me right away where to go to get what I needed.

[2x D] I love these rechargeable eneloop batteries so much, that I have purchased these batteries for all of my flash units. These batteries are powerful and they last a long time during my photo shoots to the point where I have never had to change them. The only regret I have about eneloop rechargeable batteries is that I should have purchased them years ago. Since buying and using these batteries (which is about 6 months now), I have never gone back to purchasing or using Duracell AA batteries and I never will go back using them for my flash equipment.

[2x D] Over the years the eneloop rechargeable batteries have proven to be the most reliable. They hold their charge really well. I can leave them in my older Nikon speedlights without worrying about leakage -- though it is still best to remove any battery from a device that is not used for years. And when I need the speedlights there is enough charge while I am charging others. The Panasonic chargers included in some SKU's are highly recommended. They provide the best current regulation for these batteries.

[NiMH] I've been using Eneloops since they came out. I have ~120 AA and AAA cells in various types of equipment from TV remote controls to DVMS, to HTs, to speedlights. My battery analyzer shows that some dated 2010 (2nd Gen), and used daily, have lost less than 10% in capacity. And none have given me any problems; no failures, no leakage.

[2x D] This charger works the same as the more expensive version. The only difference is the status LEDs are only one color on this (solid or blinking green). On the more expensive charger they show charge time remaining via red, yellow and green. Both work with AA and AAA white eneloop or black eneloop pro. There is a different charger available that uses USB instead of a wall outlet.

The batteries are recyclable at big electronic retail store drop offs.

[1.2 V] These blow away alkalines in so many ways that it makes me wonder why they are not more popular. Low self discharge so last years when not used, do not leak acid like old alkalins tend to do, recharge over 1,000 times, keeps nasty alkalines out of the landfill, puts out more current than Duracell which is why these are popular with the flashlight crowd. Spend a few $ up front and save a fortune in the long run.
