A: Yes, this head can be used on Manfrotto Befree tripods.

A: If the baseplate is secured onto the tripod collar of the 70-200mm lens, it will hold, otherwise if baseplate is on body, it'll not. This head does has it's limit. Of course, if you start adding accessories like hotshoe lights, or external monitors, or any additional weight on the camera setup which knocks the weight distribution off, it will not hold.

A: Yes, this uses the same 501 style QC plate.

[Black] It's longer than I normally use, but you've got to have a long cable in the kit for when you're forced to mount a UMC or LCUB at the back of the camera, and you've got to reach all the way to the front for the motors. With this cable you could reach from the back of a Sony Venice to the focus motor on an Angenieux EZ zoom mounted up front. Must have. 5

[Black] It never hurts to have these cable crossover in hand. They proved handy during a small event I participated a couple of weeks ago. It's an extra step added towards the safety of your guests and your employees. I happen to like the blue color but I know other colleagues would prefer black. 5

[Black] A 1' LBUS cable is just about the perfect length for me. I often mount my motors from the top of the camera, so a 1' cable reached from the LBUS port on the lens mount up to a top-mounted motor just perfectly. If using more than one motor, I try to place them on either side of the lens in order to balance the weight for my operator, and again the 1' cable is the perfect size to reach across the lens to the other motor. 5

[Black] This is a useful cable when for instance you've got an iris and a focus motor on an Angenieux EZ zoom, and your motors are mounted one on the bottom and one above the lens. Also useful to reach from your cforce motors back to an LCUB or UMC if your camera build isn't too long. Always good to have a variety of lengths available. 5
