[Black] I use 12” carbon fibber rods with my lens mount, 35/80 Catta Zoom lens, 3 Nucleus M motors , and my mat box all on the rods and everything fits perfectly. I had purchased a new cage for my camera body and couldn’t find a base that matched my mat boxes rod clamp height but because of the adjustment rod clamps I was able to make everything fit just right. I’m only using the front rod clamp and have yet to attach anything to the back but I could imagine running rods for battery on the back. It’s nice and light and the padding is solid yet comfortable. I was concerned about the pad but it’s thick and yet compresses nicely. Going to
Pick up a quick release mount and I’ll let y’all know when I have everything set up. So far love it’s unique design.

[1.085 lb] This bag, which is large enough to carry two C-stands, is very well made. The straps are strong and it is relatively lightweight. For any photographer who has to travel, this ba is a must. I highly recommend it.

[1.085 lb] This is a terrific design. It is very comfortable. The only issue I had with it was the fact that the foam is level, however the slope of most people's shoulders is not. So when it was sitting on my shoulder it would cause the rig to tilt a little to the right with the downward slope of my shoulder. But thank's to the well thought-out design all I had to do was to open up the pouch that holds the foam (it secures with velcro) and add another piece of foam to the outer edge under the right side rail. Worked like a charm. The stock foam feels a little stiff. Might try some softer foam at some point. Overall I think this is very well designed and I would definitely recommend it.

[1.085 lb] Using this with both a DSLR rig with rods, and with a super 16mm film camera. Excellent cushioning. The non slip material which rests on the shoulder works well. Any of the three layers of foam of different thicknesses can be removed to suit one's preference. Very useful, well made product!

[Black] I'm mostly working with my wireless camera for any live event and had to keep my rig on for many hours with few breaks here and there. I personally have 2 differents SHAPE rig, which I really love; first, because it's built near where I live; secondly because they are really well built. For many years I use to believe that the shoulder pad that I have with my SHAPE rig, was probably the only kind/type of shoulder pad there's out there... honestly, in the end, it is pretty much the same as ZACUTO (which is the US made competitor of SHAPE which is Canadian based) or any other shoulder pad I've tested in NAB over the years. Then, a few weeks ago, the pain in my shoulder and my back went so intense after many hours of operating my wireless camera; that I decided that's it, there must be something else out there. So I've started looking for something as soft as possible, while maintaining a good balance/leveling of the camera.... I even thought of building my own with any cushion I could find !!! And I finally find this super piece of rig !!! For me, it really worth the price, if I consider that taking care of my shoulder and my back worth much more than the price of that shoulder cushion rig from Porta Brace ! And of course, Porta Brace is well known in the industry for all kind of great gear !!! I just didn't know where to look and used to be satisfied with my older rig !

[1.085 lb] This shoulder pad is the best option for a camera mounted on rods. It is soft, comfortable, durable, easy to put on and take off and offers Porta Brace quality. Such a great value since it is cheaper than many of the uncomfortable pads out there. I would highly recommend!
