A: The Rycote Special 90 Mini Windjammer (BH # RYMWS90) is too small to fit the Sennheiser MZW 64-PRO Foam Windscreen (Black), BH # SEMZW64P. The WindTech Mic-Muff Microphone Windshield MM-8 (BH # WIMM8) is recommended.

Q: 7. Will this fit the Sony HXR-NX5U?

A: The Sony HXR-NX5U is a camera. If you are looking to put a windscreen on the shotgun mic that is on the camera, this windscreen would not fit. There is not a windscreen made specifically to fit over the built-in stereo mic on the camera.

Q: 8. Is it possible to connect both the recorder and a shotgun mic to this grip?

A: The handle grip (with a foam covering) has a male screw on one end & a female screw on the other. So if you attach the recorder to the male screw of the grip, it's possible to attach something else to the female end of the grip (1/4 screw), if you get additional adapters. Another thing you might like is Rycote RY47302 Mic stand adapter, which can attach to a microphone stand. I hope I'm making sense!

Q: 9. How would this fit an Electro-voice RE50?

A: The mechanical specs for the RE50 show a maximum diameter of nearly 2 inches. It looks like the Mini Windjammer will expand to only about an inch. I do not think that these two were meant for each other.

Q: 10. Will this fit the Videomic Pro+ ?

A: No, this Rycote Mini Windjammer is intended for use with a different mic. For the VideoMic Pro+, you can use the Rycote Mini Windjammer for Rode VMP+ (B&H # RY055470) or Rode DeadCat VMPR+ Artificial Fur Windshield for VideoMic Pro Plus Microphone (B&H # RODEADCATVPP).

[0.06 lb] When I first received this I put it on the mic without the foam windscreen that is included with the videomic NTG and it was very loose and did not fit at all. It would slip right off and also move around on the mic producing more noise on the mic itself. I then realized when I read the product description that this windjammer is meant to slip on the foam windscreen that's included with the VideoMic NTG. It fits perfect and snug now! 5

[0.06 lb] Can't go wrong. Rycote has the best windjammers. Fits the D-100 perfectly. very little if any loss in sonic quality to the built in mics. 100% would recommend. 5

[0.06 lb] I bought this windscreen and was ready to return it because it didn't fit and purchase the WS-11, before I realized I hadn't read the description below. The windjammer slips on the foam windscreen that's included with the VideoMic NTG, providing a precise and snugly fit that helps isolate the mic from the elements. Reading is fundamental. The windscreen fits like a glove over the foam screen. I prefer this as it keeps me from needing to carry and store both separately. The windjammer will stay on for most use cases. It does its job reducing wind noise with minimal impact to sound quality. 5
