Performance-cores provide the speed to handle high-end games and demanding applications while low-priority and background tasks are handled by the processor's Efficient-cores for multitasking.

The Intel Thread Director is built into the CPU's cores, working with the operating system to ensure each of the 20 threads are assigned to the right core at the right time.

This processor supports up to four PCIe 4.0 and sixteen PCIe 5.0 lanes, delivering 20 lanes in total for exceptional data throughput with compatible devices.

Driven by Intel Xe architecture, the integrated Intel UHD 770 Graphics delivers fast, rich 3D performance for high-quality visuals with support for either one 7680 x 4320 resolution 8K monitor or up to four 3840 x 2160 resolution 4K displays with high-dynamic range.

Gaussian and Neural Accelerator 3.0 (GNA) technology helps with noise suppression while enhancing background blurring during video chats.

Accelerates AI inference to improve performance for deep learning workloads.

[1.45 GHz] My headline really says it all ... Great gaming CPU alternative at a great price.

[Yes] Hard to beat this price. Most people don't need anything more than this today. Great value proposition, best bang for buck on the market

[Yes] I like futurproof motherboard designs everytime I build a new PC which is not often. Six years after building my last gaming/productivity PC, I decided to go with MSI after looking at the competition closely. This 13th generation motherboard checked all the boxes and slightly beat the ASUS board in value (imho). DDR5 memory, PCIe 5.0 slot, Gen 5 M.2, and Intel Wi-Fi 6E did it for me! Love this thing!

[Dual Channel] I had not built a PC in over 10 years and started researching on B&H. This CPU and motherboard combination clearly met my needs at a great price. The shipped packages arrived a day early along with the hard drive and fans I ordered. Computer was built the next day and has been amazing. I found B&H very helpful about compatibility of components so I was assured of hassle free set-up. As I grow my system my first stop will be B&H as it is for my photo and music hobbies.

[128 GB] This motherboard is very expensive, but it's like buying the top of the line in anything, it costs more.

Pros: I love all the USB options. I love the fancy NVMe slots (5)! I love the Wi-fi which is 6E (DLs 7MB/s more now with no upgrade to old N router.) 6 SATA ports is good. My system went from an I7 4770K to an I9 13900K (runs hot but nothing can help that I think). Love the Bluetooth for my wireless headphones.

Cons: The only problem I had putting it together was when I inserted the CPU it did not work right; my brother had to re-seat it and re-apply the heat goo and CPU fan (which I was loathe to do myself) but then it worked great! Flashed BIOS before re-seating of CPU trying to fix; good idea to flash with newest anyway. The 5.0 NVMe slot shares bandwidth with the video slot so if I go to a 5.0 device it will cut my video bandwidth in half. Not sure this is the MB's fault. But I hate sharing on MB slots.

System now:
*Intel I9 13900K (I7 4770K vs. I9 13900k = Passmark 7120 vs. 60065)
*MSI MPG Z790 CARBON WIFI
*CORSAIR Vengeance 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR5 5600 (4x more upgrade)
*Noctua NH-U12A chromax.black, 120mm Single-Tower CPU Cooler
(Now I'd go with the dual towers and 140mm fans for the 13900K)
*Cooler Master HAF X case (for drive bays)
*Seagate FireCuda 530 M.2 2280 2TB PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe 1.4 3D TLC (boot drive) over the Samsung option for durability stats.
*PCIE 1X to 20 Ports SATA PCIe Controller Expansion Card (because LOL) and I have 2 DVD RW BDR drives and a bunch of SATA HDD drives.
*NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (old but I just spent a truckload on upgrades) Wishing for 3060 or 3070 in future.
*20TB WD HDD
*Several older HGST HDDs (love HGST!)
*Cooler Master 1000W Gold Silent Pro PSU (old but works)
Running Win10 x64 Pro

My hat is off to B&H for super-fast delivery and working well with me on other issues.
