A comprehensive filter for neutral density and polarization, this 2 to 5-stop, 67mm PolarPro Peter McKinnon Chroma VND/PL Black Mist 67mmfrom PolarPro Peter McKinnon Chroma VND/PL Black Mist 67mmincorporates black particles inside the newly-developed Chroma Glass structure to provide 1/4 strength of bloomed highlights, color depth, and rich, dark shadows. The Chroma Glass allows the filter to have two distinct, independently controlled elements respectively for neutral density and polarization in a bi-rotational design. The new glass also increases the filter's color accuracy, only incurring the color variance that results from polarization.

The neutral density filter allows users to reduce exposure values to achieve various effects, while polarizers reduce glare and reflections to give an image a sharp, clean look. In addition to the space-saving combination of these functions, PolarPro has also improved the tactile experience of using the filter, incorporating ball bearings at each stop to lock the VND setting into place. The filter also features 16 layers of anti-scratch, anti-reflective, and anti-fingerprint coatings.

[Aluminum] I think the 2-4 stop is perfect. Very subtle but offers more natural cinematic affect that I was going for. I almost always leave it on my camera.

[0.36 lb] I purchased this filter to help with some VERY specific dessert video and it worked without a hitch. I’ve used plenty of VND’s and ND filters. This is one of the best as the color cast was fairly minimal.

[Aluminum] I don't see why I'll ever remove this from my Lumix S Pro 50mm. Maybe only for the 6 to 9-Stop for really bright outdoor conditions.

I tried others before and there was always some crazy vignetting that you can't remove in post. I don't see that here at all.

If you need, and why wouldn't you, to open up your aperture... get them.

I'm now thinking of buying the mist edition just to take that clinical look away from the sharp, modern lenses that I use.

[Aluminum] It's what you'd expect the perfect variable nd filter to be. The haptic levels of nd was a nice touch to this model.

[Aluminum] This VND is great and meets my needs. I typically use the tilta mirage but in cases where I want to have a lighter rig this works perfectly. I may switch to using these exclusively.

[0.36 lb] Like many of anyone who reads this, I have used many ND filters over the years. From inexpensive to not so inexpensive. This ND filter is as good as others close to the price, but what sets it WAY apart is the case. Unless I'm unaware of other filters that do the same, how you store and attach the filter has changed how I pack! As a result, I have sold all of my other ND's and will be using this with adapters. This will be the only brand and design I will ever use again.

[0.36 lb] Compared to other variable ND filters, this one is the best I've used by a mile. No X shape in the image at the upper end.

[Aluminum] I am a wedding videographer and photographer. I have used a couple different filters and this one blows them all out of the water! I have this one for the Canon rf 50mm F1.2 and the two are a perfect pair. It is a little on the pricey side for sure but if you do any kind of video work it is a game changer.
