A: My advice. It doesn't matter. Don't record sound onto your dslr. The audio on the h4n will always be better than the in camera audio. Invest is a good shotgun mic, an xlr cable and a boom pole.

Q: 4. Thoughts on using this cable to connect a GH4 and Zoom H1n?

A: While this would work for connecting the headphone out of the H1n to a mic input on the GH4, you would lose the ability to monitor from the recorder. Here's another attenuator cable that gives you a separate headphone output B&H # KOACH425MON.

Q: 5. My setup would be to use the 90 degree end into the camera which appears to be the reverse of the labels. Would that work? What impact would this have?

A: This attenuating cable will only work if connected into the right side as the label indicates, it will does not work the reverse way.

A: This has been designed for compatibility with your iPhone, iPod or Blackberry. It may not work with android devices consistently.

Q: 8. Will this perfectly work sending an audio feed from my Zoom U-24 Audio Interface into an android smartphone, iphone/ipad?

A: Yes, that cable should be compatible for that application, provided the Zoom product has 1/4 jacks.

Q: 9. Could this split the stereo from Saramonic uwmic into two separate mono channels, then into my Zoom H6?

A: This Sescom Y cable #SES-IPSUMTS12IN will not work for the desired application because the wiring on the 1/8 TRRS is designed for a smartphone mic input and the 1/4 TS leads would force you to plug into the Zoom's line inputs bypassing the mic preamps. Theoretically, you could achieve separation of the two channels via the one stereo output if, and only if the Saramonic provides a true stereo output with each transmitter assigned to either the tip and the ring respectively. A special cable would have to be made featuring a locking TRS 1/8 male connector on one end, and two XLR male leads on the other.

Q: 10. Could this be used to record directly from a mixer's XLR out to an iPhone or iPad?

A: Yes. That is the purpose of this cable.

[Bare End Unisex] Outstanding quiet device, I use it to lower the lever to my Harmony pedal. I'm in a group, so I take a direct out from my MixWiz, which is too strong for the pedal, this unit takes it down to clean level, and the pedal performs flawlessly. I can build this device myself, but the quality, and the compactness of this device, and the fact that it is 1/4 connectors solves all the little problems at once, Sescom does it again, Thanks.. 5

[Bare End Unisex] Love what it does, when once your done with getting the system properly configured. Documentation is limited, but plenty of videos exists on SoundSwitch site and Utube. Please watch all before starting. Be patient with support from New Zealand via email. Their support staff is top notch. If they have to look at your system over the internet they will to correct setup problems. May require more than one view. Watching support configure setup problem I say the following. Top notch professional support stay. These guys get 5 Stars also. These guys ROCK. Regards DJ Steve 5

[12.5 pF/ft] 1- Cheap 2- Does exactly what I wanted 3- does not come with instructions. THAT'S HOW EASY TO USE THAT IS! 1- Plug the source IN 2- send the signal to your recorder. 3- Adjust volume desired... 4- DONE! I shoot weddings and I refuse to get audio from the camera's mic. My clients get very hi-end audio from me. it simply re-creates the reception event when you have CLEAN stereo sound coming straight from the DJ's mixer. unfortunately, 99.9999999% of all DJs will screw up the audio levels from the middle to end of the party letting the input signals get extremely high and i had to STOP this problem. If you use a digital LINE IN recorder such as the Zoom H2, H2N and H4, you cannot afford to record a reception or any live performance that need audio from a mixer without this product!! I made a test myself letting the mixer go nuts with unacceptable audio levels with this device between the mixer and the Zoom. No matter what I did, the distortion was GONE! Then I tried without. BAD DAY! USELESS AUDIO! Buy this with your eyes closed. You cannot go wrong with it! I hope my review helped as I am the first :) What I do: I'm a professional videographer and Audio for Video Specialist for 20 years. 5

[4] I'm a voice actor and utilize both a VO sound booth and a separate engineering station outside the booth. I wanted a compact volume control for my headphone inside the booth because my audio interface is located in the engineering station, not inside the booth. This device is perfect! I attached it to a small table and can ride it like a fader if need be for live, directed sessions with other studios, as well as coaches. Great build quality and lossless audio. Very happy! 5

[4] This product is great, I use it for controlling audio from internet radio, cd player and 'normal' fm-radio. I mainly bought the product because it uses 4 rca - connectors for audio input and output. With proper audio cables it is firmly connected which I find an advantage, instead of using for example a 3,5 mm plug. I use 2 active (pc) speakers and an subwoofer. Sound is excellent. 5
