Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are these gloves suitable for below zero temperatures? If not what should I buy?

A: These leather gloves will keep you warm, but may not be ideal for below freezing temperatures. The warmest gloves we have available from Freehands for women in size small are the Rag-Wool, which also have insulated lining: http://bhpho.to/1eeL6t7

Q: 2. Length of fingers for medium

A: While the specific length for each finger of the Setwear Hothand Gloves (Medium) (B&H# SESHH05009) is not provided by the manufacturer, they do offer this sizing chart: https://bit.ly/3Dd4P0r

Q: 3. How much weight does this support? I am using Canon 5D mk II with 24-105mm, 7DMk II with 150-600mm. Both have battery grips.

A: Your camera gear set up will work fine

Q: 4. Can you operate touchscreens like the bmpockets or Sony a7s with this gloves?

A: These gloves are designed to protect against high heat. They are not touchscreen gloves.

Q: 5. Do these gloves have any attachment points for clipping a carabiner or rope through?

A: While these Setwear Hothand Gloves do not have an attachment point on them to use a carabiner or rope, they do offer the Setwear Logo Glove Clip, BH # SESW05532. This would allow you to clip to the gloves for attachment to a belt. https://bhpho.to/3vEgUdK

Q: 6. I see some harnesses on B and H have a point of connection in the front chest area, this one doesn't. I'm concerned that the lack of a point of attachment for the front chest area may cause the strap to slide off of my arm. Is this a legitimate concern? I mean kind of like a backpack sliding off unintentionally.

A: If you look at the reviews for camera harnesses like the RL Handcrafts Clydesdale Pro Dual Leather Camera Harness (Medium, Coffee), you will find no complaints about this specific issue.

Q: 7. Are these gloves heat resistant?

A: Yes these gloves are heat-resistant.

Q: 8. What is the sizing since there is no small size? Can the medium fit a smaller hand?

A: The size of the PGYTECH Master Photography Gloves (Medium) is approximately 16x7cm.

Q: 9. Are the 1/4inch screw clips included or do I have to purchase separately

A: All necessary hardware comes in the box including the tripod socket ring mounts.

Q: 10. Will this hold a Nikon d850 and a Nikon z9

A: Yes RL Handcrafts Clydesdale Pro Dual Leather Camera Harness (Medium, Tan) will hold a Nikon D850 and a Nikon Z9.

[0.27 lb] I had two pairs of free hands for photography and for cool places. I had other pair of setwear and I used this and I will use these other (news) for driver motorcycle.

[Leather] These gloves have yet to fail me. I've worked with Arri 1K fresnels and those babies are cookin'. These gloves handled them with no trouble.

[0.27 lb] I just got the hot hand gloves last week and I used them in a production. I needed to move a 5k open face mole light that was on for 1 hour. I tilted it down a little bit using my gloves and they did the job. These gloves worth every penny. Thanks!

[0.27 lb] Great glove for a Grip or Gaffer, keeps my hands safe from being pinched, cut, and it keeps the cable grime and debris from getting on your hands.

My last pair of leather gloves were around $15. They didn't fit too well, they were hot - made my hands sweat, and were tough to put on. These breathe better, slide on effortlessly, great feel though the leather, and they offer decent protection for hot lights, but I'd get the hot version if you pan to use them around larger fixtures, my biggest hot light is a 2K.

I was also used to motorcycle level quality gloves and these definitely stood up in terms of stitching, and feel for the price. I was using these on a job immediately, they broke in super fast! I'll update if they let me down.

[0.27 lb] So it's been 4 months now and so far so good. Haven't had any complaints so far. Definitely helps against hot fixtures. I use these and the arri gloves.

[Leather] I'm a photo assistant and use these gloves on set. They take whatever the day brings and keep on protecting my hands without any real signs of wear. They stand up well to hot and cold temperatures as well as rough surfaces. They are extremely well made, albeit a little pricey, and I highly recommend them. Buy these and you won't regret it. However, if you don't need the thermal protection (you don't work with very hot or cold items) then go with another less expensive model by Setwear.

[0.27 lb] They're a little snug but they still fit and they're made extremely well. So far they're holding up and they're comfortable.
