Get your immersive audio content to optimal levels rapidly with Elixir from FLUX, a true peak limiter plug-in with support for Dolby Atmos and multichannel audio workflows, up to 32 channels. With the ability to conform to ITU-R and EBU loudness standards while preserving your audio's natural timbre, Elixir is a workflow gamechanger.

Elixir sports powerful 64-bit floating point audio processing, allowing for end-to-end 64-bit audio with compatible systems, and up to a blistering 384 kHz sampling rate. The intuitive, scalable interface can be scaled in six steps and features plenty of control over your dynamics processing, including input and output gain, true bypass, two simultaneous slots for presets (A and B), and a parameter morphing slider with automation support. Elixir comes with several True Peak presets, which automatically meet the recommended true-peak output for common platforms like YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Netflix, and more. This plug-in is available in VST, AU, and AAX (native and DSP) formats for macOS and Windows computers.

With immersive audio being the new driving force in the entertainment industry, a new era in audio production is taking shape. Elixir supports up to 32 channels of processing, making it an indispensable tool for immersive audio production, including Dolby Atmos workflows. You can either control the dynamics of the multiple 7.1.2 beds you are sending to the Dolby Atmos renderer, or limit your monitoring level.

For truly delicate and fine processing tasks, Elixir presents an innovative concept called Stages, providing the option to set the algorithm to perform the limiting processing in multiple stages, with up to 12 stages in order to achieve even more precise and natural sounding results.

For example, if the threshold is set to -3 dB and the Stages parameter is set to 3, the first stage will limit at -1 dB, the second stage will limit at -2 dB, and the third will limit at -3 dB, with analyzing performed in each of the three stages.

Elixir's straightforward user interface makes it exceptionally easy to achieve great results, even under a tight deadline. Simply set the input level, adjust the Threshold according to the amount of limiting desired, and enable Make Up for gain compensation and loudness addition.

The GUI has been completely modernized, with the workflow overhauled to enhance the user experience, and optimized to visually control the whole audio content. The user interface is now scalable in six steps to easily adapt to the screen resolution of the DAW workstation. Available scaling steps include:

  • 800x600
  • 1000x750
  • 1200x900
  • 1300x975
  • 1600x1200
  • 2000x1500

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What if you happen to be carrying a few extra pounds of body fat?

A: It should not be an issue.

Q: 2. Does this work with the new capture?

A: Sure will!

Q: 3. Does the 3/8 screw on the head also have a 1/4-20 that can revealed by pushing down on the 3/8 screw sleeve like some of the edelkrone gear ?

A: Unfortunately, this uses the standard 3/8"-16 screw.

Q: 4. Is there movement to the internal element? The one I have has looseness to the internal element when tipped up or down.

A: The Peak #1983 10x Scale Loupe does not have movement to the internal element.

Q: 5. is the body of this unit made of metal? I have the Gowing equivalent of the Peak, and the body is plastic and there are reports of failure with dropping of an expensive lens. I hesitate to use my unit.

A: The plate that slips into the device that clamps onto a belt or strap is made of metal. The flat belt gizmo is also metal so you have a secure metal to metal connection. The red protusion on the flat plate ejects the lens holding body when pushed in but also pulls out and rotates to lock the protusion from being accidently depressed and releasing the lens holder. The black wheel clamps down and secures the lens holder in place even further. The body itself to which the lenses attach is of plastic which WOULD be of concern if the slideing base that locks to the belt holder were of plastic but it's not. Metal to metal connection. I use it confidently even with both a 70-200 and 24-70 attached simultaneously. Only time it failed me is when I didn't completely rotate the 70-200 to its lock position. Fell 30 to concrete on the lens hood but did't do any evident or lasting damage.

Q: 6. Would this be appropriate for focusing through the ground glass of a 4x5 camera?

A: Yes, the Peak #1983 10x Scale Loupe would be perfect for focusing on the ground glass of a 4x5 camera.

Q: 7. Does the field of view cover the entire area of a 35mm negative (or color slide)?

A: You can see an entire 35mm slide or negative at the same time using this loupe.

Q: 8. Does it have a divider (membrane) in the middle, so it can protect the back of the lens from dust, when only one lens is mounted?

A: Yes,it has and I use it a lot of times for fast switching between lenses instead of taking it out in the bag during location shoot.Hope this helps.

Q: 9. Does this swivel or are they rigid?

A: It will have a swivel feature. You just need to simply pull directly outwards and turn whatever direction you'd like.

Q: 10. I see in the last photo that it can rotate the lens, but my son has bouht it and it can not rotate. I want it can rotate, there are 2 models ?

A: Pull it out, then you can rotate it. I had the same problem for a while. So, if you have it on your belt, pull the lenses and their holder away from your belt and then you will be able to rotate the lenses and their holder. It is such a nice tight fit that it is easy to miss.

[1 User] TV signal levels are all over the map when using an external amplifier. If you turn down the theme music of a program, the dialog is way too quiet. When you have the dialog at a comfortable level, the music jars you out of the chair. You get the picture. I got fed up and decided to get the Rolls SL33b limiter. I hooked it up, put the knob pointers mid-way (straight up)and haven't needed to use the volume control on the amplifier since. It does the job perfectly. If you're an audiophile, you may not appreciate the over-all sound quality. Music seems a little squashed but NOT distorted. That's why they call it a limiter. The dynamic range is compressed. It is a very acceptable compromise for smooth listening. The SL33b is well made and very compact. You can easily set it, hide it and forget where you hid it.

[1 User] The Rolls monitor is a perfect addition to my audio kit. I connect it to the output XLR of my boom and connect headphones. The audio loops through to another cable to the recorder. It allows a boom op (me) to monitor the boom audio directly without additional cables getting in the way on a tight set. It's powered by a 9V battery that seems to last the entire day. It attaches to the boom op via a belt clip. The only con is that it's a bit bulkier than I thought it would be.

[1 User] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Endurance Peak 3 are great! They fit great when I run or do a HIIT workout. The JBL Pure Bass has super sound. Almost 50 hours of playback is almost too much time. The Powerhook really keeps them in place during any activity.

[Download] I use this limiter between my second set of monitors (Bose/Polk setup) to make sure during mixing I do not hit my Stereo Amp too hard! It works great!

[Download] I was wanting to listen to my mix after it left the mixer but before it went out to our live stream, just to make sure the sound was right. I plugged this in line and it works flawlessly. I like the fact you can plug it in with the included adapter or run it with batteries. Good price point so it doesn’t break the bank.

[1 User] I play keyboards in a classic rock band and, up until now, I pretty much got buried in the audio mix. I decided to run the keyboards through the PA system with a monitor feed back to this Rolls unit and plug in my earbuds. It's got an onboard 9-volt battery, an optical limiter to protect my ears, and it's built like a tank. Great product, reasonably priced.

[Download] I am using this device so that the singer can monitor her voice through an ear bud which means she doesn't have to have monitor close to her mic. Also, she can adjust the volume to her liking. The mic can be passed directly through or it can accept a feed from the board or both at the same time. Very cost effective for the quality and usefulness. It can use batteries or a small power adapter. My only complaint is that it uses 9 volt batteries instead of AA's which are cheaper and last longer. But, I high quality 9 volt alkaline gives us about 6 hours of use.
