[43.3 mm] I use this coupled with my BMPCC 6K Pro. Like most cinema lenses, this is massive. Be prepared for a workout if you are going handheld. Gearing is very smooth, although a bit stiff if not using a focus wheel. I own all of the cinema lenses and two of the three have decent magnetic hoods, while one does not appear to be as strong. This doesn't affect me as I utilize a matte box. Like most have stated, the lense cover is complete garbage. Pops off for no apparent reason.

[Imperial] 15mm on S35 is great. I thought this would be too wide and wished IRIX made a 25 or 35 but actually to compliment the existing 45 they sell this 15 is a good match feeling wide but not super distorted wide. Magnetic hoods are cool, but not so much if you are filming metalworking - all the dust just sits on those magnets. Minor quibble but the lens is great!

[Imperial] Having used IRIX lenses since initial launch of their Cinema Line, I would say the 65mm lens is a great addition to the line up. Having used it it already on a project with the RED Komodo and Canon Focal Reducer I would have to say the image it produces is great. I have not noticed any chromatic aberrations in the footage I have shot.

[15mm] I really enjoy this lens. The look of the image is sharp and feels amazing. The build is tanky. No regrets.

[86 mm] Quality optics and build. Light for a cine prime, and easy to use. Works well on our RED Komodo. Smooth focus and aperture rings. The magnetic filter system is quick and easy. Also have the IRIX 30mm Cine T1.5. We tested both lenses and found no issues. The blue infinity marking really is at infinity and the other markings appear to be accurate as well. The only complaint is the rounded lens cap that comes with the lens. We were told that IRIX is going to offer the better, flat cap they provide with their 30mm T1.5 for this and older models. Kudos to them for that improvement. Overall, this is a surprisingly good cine prime series considering the low price.

[Imperial] What more could you ask for in a lens. I was very skeptical at first as I work in film production and we rent lenses all the time. I wanted something that I could use for my red that could live on the camera for run and gun doc work. This lens has blown me away in the short two days I've used it. It is very sharp and has this unique look to that reminds me of having a pro mist filter on it. The build is heavy and strong and feels like a mini tank. I've gambled with lenses for 5 years and am very happy with this purchase. I will be buying more. Thanks Irix!!!!!!! You guys rule.

[15mm] I own (and love) my newer Blackmagic Design 6k camera with full frame sensor and Leica L mount. I also have a number of wonderful new and old Zeiss PL mount fixed cinema lenses. (18mm - 200mm) So when I saw this adapter for sale at B&H, along with a good review of it, I took the plunge. I am not disappointed.

With this adapter, a fairly heavy Zeiss lens with ARRI PL mount, like their CP.2 25mm for example, hangs off the Blackmagic camera with no discernible wiggle. The lens goes on and off a bit tight, but hey, that's what I wanted. It looks great too, with excellent machining and black surface coating.

Note that — nothing to do with this excellent adapter itself — my oldest 1970s vintage Zeiss Super-16 lenses, while still producing great images, do vignette at the image corners, from 9mm to 16mm when the Blackmagic camera is set to FF 6k, exactly as I expected. But I could not have verified that without this Simmod adapter. Note also that simply changing the Blackmagic camera setting to capture a more restrictive Super-35 4k size, allowed more of my older PL mount Super-16 lenses to be used. The lens coating on those older Zeiss is not quite as nice as the newer CP.2 or CP.3 but still hard to see much difference in most lighting conditions. Again, this Simmod adapter allowed me to test all this.

[86 mm] Glad Irix finally added something between the 45mm and 150mm. If you're already rocking a set of these primes, the 65mm is a must! Used them for my b-cam side profile angle last week and loved the look of this lens.

[43.3 mm] This is a really good lens. Great build quality, excellent performance, low distortion, little breathing. I'm going to get a set of these Irix Lenses, pretty impressed!

[43.3 mm] I've tried a few different PL mount adapters of varying prices from low to high. I can say with certainty that this is one of the best I've ever used. It has great machining, tight tolerances with no play when locked in. The lens feel supported and secure with the handful of lens sets I've tried. I have used other Simmod products in the past and have been happy so far with the quality of everything. I highly recommend giving this a try.
