A comprehensive filter for neutral density and polarization, this 2- to 5-stop PolarPro Peter McKinnon Chroma VND/PL Gold Mist Filterfrom PolarPro Peter McKinnon Chroma VND/PL Gold Mist Filterfits into the Helix Maglock filter system and leverages newly designed Chroma Glass to create a filter with independently controlled elements for neutral density and polarization in a bi-rotational design. The new glass also incorporates gold particles to provide 1/8 grade strength of golden bloomed highlights and halations while allowing midtones and shadows to keep their natural color detail. The new filters improve color accuracy as well, only incurring the variance resulting from polarization.

The neutral density filter allows users to reduce exposure values to achieve various effects, while polarizers reduce glare and reflections to give an image a sharp, clean look. In addition to the space-saving combination of these functions, PolarPro has also improved the tactile experience of using the filter, incorporating ball bearings at each stop to lock the VND setting into place. The filter also features 16 layers of anti-scratch, anti-reflective, and anti-fingerprint coatings.

[0.515 lb] Compared to other variable ND filters, this one is the best I've used by a mile. No X shape in the image at the upper end.

[Glass] I was willing to shell out for a good ND filter to avoid color shift and other ND issues, and after using it all day for a wedding I can say it was SO worth it. This filter is amazing — it looks and feels like such high quality, there is zero noticeable color shift, and the holder it comes in has such a luxury feel. I highly recommend!

[Dedicated] I am a wedding videographer and photographer. I have used a couple different filters and this one blows them all out of the water! I have this one for the Canon rf 50mm F1.2 and the two are a perfect pair. It is a little on the pricey side for sure but if you do any kind of video work it is a game changer.

[Glass] This VND is great and meets my needs. I typically use the tilta mirage but in cases where I want to have a lighter rig this works perfectly. I may switch to using these exclusively.

[Aluminum] It's so hard to spend so much on something like filters. I've come to realize there is cheap and S tier. Nothing in between. Do yourself a solid and go ahead and get the good one. By the time you buy a few of what you would think to be mid level you could have gotten this quality piece of glass. Don't put a $30 filter on you multi thousand dollar lens. You and your art deserve it!
The construction is premium and the case/lens cap make installation and protection seamless. Very slight color shift. Nisi offers a true color if that's what you need but the build quality of the polarpro is the best ive seen.
