Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you use this harness with Swarovski EL 8.5 x 42 binoculars?

A: Yes, one can use the LensCoat Camera/Binoculars Harness (Webbing Version), With Swarovski EL 8.5 x 42 binoculars.

Q: 2. Will this fit my Canon RP body?

A: Yes, this body cap will fit any RF-Mount camera including the Canon RP.

Q: 3. Wil this fit the Canon EOS R5?

A: Yes, this is a body cap for RF cameras like the R5.

Q: 4. I shoot with D750 and primarily 24-120mm f/4G, 50mm 1.8g, 85mm 1.8g along with SB-800 flash/cord. Does this cause any flare? If you bounce the flash upwards on horizontal, do you experience shadows? Also do you experience shadows in vertical position? I use the regular Custom Brackets but want something smaller simply to avoid shadows.

A: I use the Mini-RC with a 24-70 lens. My subjects are usually 6 to 8 feet away.I don't get any flare when using the bracket. But I do get thin hard shadows behind my subjects on any walls or structures behind my subject.

Q: 5. Will this mount fit on my Sony A6500 ??

A: It will fit but the camera is very small and the bracket is large so will be awkward to use. You also won't have where to hold well in vertical mode. I would recommend buying a battery grip like this one and placing it on the camera. With this grip it will allow you to better use that bracket on the camera. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1335221-REG/vello_bg_s5_battery_grip_for_sony.html

Q: 6. Could you wear this harness underneath a backpack comfortably?

A: Should be no problem with a backpack that is supported with only at the shoulders with no interfering chest straps.

Q: 7. Is it possible/easy to attach a pair of peak design anchor links to the harness? I have peak design anchors on my cameras.

A: No, it would not be possible to use the Peak Design AL-4 Anchor Links with the LensCoat Camera/Binoculars Harness (Webbing Version) B&H # LELCBCHW. There is no way to mount the anchor link receiver onto the straps.

Q: 8. Is there a left-handed version of this bracket? I would prefer to have the flash on the left, so I can adjust it as needed while taking photos with my right hand. I love the small profile this bracket creates.

A: Pretty sure right-side is the only version made. I don't remember seeing any other options when I was in the market for a bracket. You make an interesting point about not having to take your hand off the grip to change the flash - but this bracket mounts the flash very close to the right side of the lens and I believe that it was on the left side of the lens, one would have issues accessing the zoom and focus rings.

Q: 9. Will this work with a Fuji xt2?

A: Drew, did you ever purchase this item and did it work well on your XT2?I'm considering it for use with an XPRO1, XPRO2, and X100T. Anyone else have experience in using it on these bodies?

Q: 10. I shoot with Sony a7II + Zeiss 55 F1.8, would this fit for me???

A: perfect my friend put me onto this bracket and its what he shoots with

I'm using this on a Canon 50D with an extended (Canon) battery pack and right hand grip strap. The cover installs and removes easily and offers great scratch and dent protection, (though I don't think it would help allot with a high drop accident).

I was worried when other reviews stated that this cover is exceptionally tight. However, I have a Canon 5D MKII with battery grip, hand strap, extended eyepiece, quick release plate, and a neck strap, and this cover easily slid over it all on the first try. I've read that different production batches can be slightly different sizes, so no guarantees, but this is plenty big for me. I'm sure I could even add a compact GPS to the hot shoe and have it still fit (tightly, but it would fit). It's a great camera body cover that pulls on and off easily. Some of the small lens covers from LensCoat can feel a little cheap, but for protecting a body or a larger lens, they make great products.

These neoprene covers are high quality and provide great protection. The only change I may make is to add two slits with velcro closures to easily accomodate my camera straps.

It is a little bit tight for my Canon 1Dx, but it will do the trick just fine. I bought it to protect my LCD screen while on safari and traveling. I have seen too many LCD screens get cracked when the safari vehicle goes over a bump that you aren't expecting. These body guards are a great proactive solution.
