A: The quick answer is yes.... However if your only use is to bring in 1 HDMI source and go to toslink then there are other products that will also work, if you are bringing in multiple sources and sending them to your projector and audio system then this is a great box...

Shooting in 4K allows for some crop capabilities to punch in. For close up details in small spaces, you will need a lens with a longer focal length.

A: Yes, you can. Or I prefer to use the IR remote. And I know that 1 is the cable TV and 2 is the computer so I don't ever need to look. But there is a blue LED light on the top of the switch that lights up next to whichever switch is activated.

A: This switcher works with an HDMI signal up to UHD 4K at 30fps. However the switcher itself has no impact on the length of the cable it is being used with. In general, standard HDMI cables send a signal around 25 feet.

[12x HDMI Female] Since I got my recent computer in 2013, I've been trying to get an output to my TV using the normal composite output, which the video card sadly doesn't have. (Although S-Video is an option for my TV as well, it sometimes doesn't detect it properly.) After having tried 3 other VGA to composite scan converters, I thought I would try this Gefen scaler and use the HDMI output on my video card. And it seems I made the right choice at last! While the previous scan converters suffered with a somewhat stuttery PAL output, the Gefen scaler isn't really all that bad at it. It is a little bit stuttery here and there, but nothing to get in a fuss about. When I watched a TV show using it, it wasn't noticeable at all. The image quality is pretty fine, and like it promised, it gives you a choice of resolutions. You'd probably want to stick to about 1024 768 pixels to read stuff from your computer, or otherwise it gets too tiny for your television. I tried both the S-Video and composite outputs, and they were both very good. I also tried it with my XBOX 360, and it worked fine with that too. The underscan setting is just right for my TV, if you want to get the whole image on your screen without anything cropped. It was nice to see that the power supply works from 100 to 240 V, and it also came with a set of Australian style pins, which I was happy to use! (It also had USA, British and possibly European ones too.) The metal case seems rugged and the screw in style HDMI plug is a good idea to keep it from being pulled out. All in all, it seems very well made, and it looks pretty nice as well. 5

[12x HDMI Female] I've not had any issues with this product - it does its job well with no fuss. It's also very well made, including the connectors. I was unsure if it would totally strip the audio from the SDI feed (so that there was no audio on the looped output) but this is not the case. The output is 'untouched' and includes audio. 5

[HDMI] This device is exactly device that we needed and fulfill our needs. We are using this device in our training room where we have presentation system and signal is remotely supplied to projector by HDMI, we just needed to extract audio that we be synchronized with video. [8K at 60] We are a Public Access station only able to broadcast in standard def. With live HD feeds coming in live other devices claimed but didn't produce the letterbox format we needed. Only issue is once you get the device and you want letterbox, you have to go to the Gefen site and download the fix for this requirement. Gefen should tell clients upfront. 5

[12x HDMI Female] Works like a charm decoding recent Dolby signals for my pre-HDMI Bose Lifestyle 18. Working with Roku and XBox Series X. I had a signal splitter to take the audio from the HDMI to optical on Bose but Bose kept crashing on current Dolby regardless of audio settings on whatever I plugged in. 5
