A: One should not expect vignetting when using the Heliopan 49-62mm Step-Up Ring (#175). The 62mm filter will be significantly wider than the 49mm lens threading and should not get into the image at all.

A: The thickness of this step up ring is about 4mm.

Q: 10. What is the outside diameter of this ring? Is it 100mm so that I can use a push on lens cap?

[72 mm to 95 mm] Heliopan quality. In my experience brass filters and rings have less of a tendency to stick to lenses, hoods, grad holders etc. than do their aluminum counterparts. 5

[72 mm to 95 mm] I have three hn12 lens hoods that I wanted step down rings for (step up depending n your perspective), I got this as a back up and ancillary to another brand ring. Heliopan makes some good stuff well built and sturdy. 5
