Mount this MID49 Top Plate for Blackmagic PYXISfrom MID49 Top Plate for Blackmagic PYXISon your camera to provide multiple accessory mounting points. The Top Plate features numerous 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded accessory mounting holes on the top and side. The threaded mounting holes are surrounded by ARRI-standard mount compatible anti-twist divots, and the plate also has multiple M4 threaded mounting holes, enabling you to securely mount accessories and support arms without stressing your camera's body. The center Arca dovetail clamp allows you to attach a variety of optional handles, such as the Rainbow Handle Kit or an Arca Top Handle.

A: The Blackmagic Design Top Handle for URSA Mini and URSA Mini Pro is not the handle that was featured with the Blackmagic Design PYXIS 6K Cinema Box Camera (Leica L). That handle has not been released yet by Blackmagic at this time.

Q: 2. Does a 504PLONG fit here? If i buy this and the lever, is it all i need to fit and lock the 504PLONG plate?

A: Yes.

Q: 3. Whats the difference between the Ursa Mini handle and the URSA Broadcast handle?

A: They are the same. There is an error that will be corrected.

Q: 4. Is it possible to install this top plate atop a SmallRig 2203 cage for the BMPCC 6K in order to give my camera rig greater mounting options?

A: This is designed to go on top of a C200 directly. You may be able to put it on top of other SmallRig cages, but how well it will fit or line up is not something know the results of. It would not be recommended.

Q: 5. Does this plate interfere with the Sony Extension unit, or any 3rd party battery adapters that mount to the rear of the camera?

A: No. The following unit is form fitted to not interfere with addons or extensions.

Q: 6. Best option to mount external monitor on this?

A: Most monitors that have a 1/4"-20 thread can be adapted to the Blackmagic Design URSA Cine Top Handle. For example, you could use the Blackmagic Design Video Assist 7" 12G-SDI/HDMI HDR Recording Monitor (B&H # BLVIDA127HRD) and the Tilta Accessory Mounting Bracket (Dual 1/4"-20 with Locating Pins), B&H # TIAAMB3B.

Q: 7. Does this come with the lock screw for the sliding base plate? if not, why is the lock screw not shown as an accessory? it is pretty much required to safely use the plate.

Q: 8. Can you mount the black magic view finder on this?

A: You cannot.

Q: 9. What's the big difference(s) between the original Q1 and this new Q1S (base plate and top plate)?

A: This top handle wasn't designed for the URSA mini. It was meant for the Blackmagic Cinema Cameras.

[Black] Although a little expensive, there are not many easier or better solutions for the Blackmagic camera out there for handles. It swivels in 360 degree direction. It also almost matches the iKan CineFly. 5

[0.585 lb] I like having a handle on a nato rail and the lcd mounted on Small Rig’s C200 monitor stand. This top plate allows this configuration - works really well. 5

[6 x 5.3 x 1.1"] The handle comes with screws and it is easy to mount on the camera. Now I can safely hold my camera in hand. The handle can also be bought as a part of the shoulder kit. But if you use the camera on a tripod, buying the handle separately is much cheaper. 5

[0.585 lb] I'm able to attach a locking Arri-style top handle and use 15mm rod components above the lens. Other companies would do well to implement top 15mm rods. This plate allows for unparalleled modularity. It's very sturdy and I can trust it with a lot of weight. 5

[Black] This plate lets you put two screws on MAP1 and MAP2, unlike the original Movi Plate. The two screws in the product picture are misleading, but it is just screw holder and not attached to the actual plate. The plate itself is straight shape just like the original Movi top plate. 5
