Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Shorter than 25 ft of 5-pin XLR cables?

A: We have several 5 pin XLR cable options available for Special Order in lengths below 25 feet. https://bhpho.to/2p6St3n

Q: 2. Can you use this with Sennheiser me66/k6 mic?

A: The Sennheiser MZS 600 shock mount is designed for the MKE600. The ME66/k6 is 2.5mm bigger in diameter than the mke600. It may be tight fit. The Sennheiser MZSK6 is a shock mount designed specifically for K6 microphones, but at this price-point, I would probably go with a different shockmount. Please consider the Rycote Universal Shotgun Mount (B&H# RYUSGM) as it is a better investment.

Q: 3. Can this be used with Sennheiser ew 100 ENG G3 Dual Wireless?

A: The Sennheiser HSP4 features a locking 3.5mm jack that would be compatible with the EW G3 transmitter.

Q: 4. Will this work with the MKE-2?

A: Hi, yes this will work with the MKE-2 microphone. Thank you for shopping at B&H!

Q: 5. MZD 8000 is a 2-channel module. How one MZD can be connected to a pair of MKH 80X0 mics, i.e. what Y-cable do I need?

A: Although AES42 is a stereo protocol by definition, the Sennheiser MZD 8000 Digital Microphone Module is not designed to be used with more than one microphone. It is designed to be screwed directly onto 8000-series microphones, using Mode 2 for synchronization instead of a second audio channel.

Q: 6. Can I use it with the Rode Video Micro?

A: Unfortunately or fortunately not. That is made for a MKE 600 a full size shotgun. Also it won't be any better than what the Micro comes with. The Micro comes in a good lyre shock mount that is made just for that mic. Just use the mic as is. It's a great little mic and Rode made sure it has a quality shock mount.

Q: 7. is this suitable for use with the digital avx wireless systems...ie has it been updated to include better shielding as has the MKE2 gold mics?

A: There are known issue with the shielding.

Q: 8. Can this mic be directly connected to a computer via the 3.5 mm jack?

A: No, the Sennheiser HSP4 Headworn Microphone cannot be connected to a laptop's headphone jack.

Q: 9. How can it be connected to a pair of MKH 80X0 mics?

A: You would unscrew the XLR module on each of your MKH 8000 series mics, and you would connect the Sennheiser MZD 8000 Digital Microphone Module to each of the MKH 8000 series mics that you want to use.

Q: 10. Will this work with Rode Wireless Go II?

A: The Sennheiser HSP4 Headworn Microphone uses a locking 3.5mm input connection while the transmitters in the Rode Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System use a non-locking input connection. Compatibility between the two depends on the ability of the locking mechanism on the HSP4 to move far enough out of the way to make a solid connection to the Rode transmitters. We have not tested these two items to fully confirm their compatibility at this time.

[Metal] Not just one of the best headset mics I've used, one of the best mics period. It isn't omni-directional so feedback is almost non-existent. I have had children's pastors use it as a mic for singing and speaking. This thing is one of the clearest mics I have heard, it can cut through a band like what I thought only handheld mics can do. I also gave this to a senior pastor who also liked to sing at the end of his messages and compliments on his speaking and the end of services came from everyone. If you want a powerful mic, and you are done playing around with the little guys, its time to get this microphone. The ONLY downside is that if you have a really small head (has happened to me with two tiny women) this headset probably wont fit you and will be pretty loose. I just used some mole skin to tape it down on them and we didn't have any problems after that.

[Metal] A small compact mic that has great audio for 2 people. Also the mute button is green when on and red when off which the Board really likes.

[Metal] This mic was used in church for our pastor. It very comfortable and the audio quality is amazing. Easy to set up with no feedback issues or wireless interference by our other wireless mics. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a headset mic for singing or clergy purpose.

[Black] Awesome product! Better sound and ease of use than the $800 skin colored wireless mic. If you are teaching a class or speaking to a large crowd this is what you need!

[Black] Our priest uses it during mass, after his first weekend we have heard lots of positive comments, how clear he sounded, we don't have a problem with echo that we've had with other head pieces. We are very satisfied with the product

[Black] One of the concerns public speakers face is the quality of the A/V equipment. Can you hear me now? is not simply the Verizon slogan. If your lavalier microphone or headworn microphone is not properly placed, you may wonder if people can hear you. The HSP4 is a beautifully formed headworn microphone that is securely placed, eliminating one's concern with regard to whether or not the audience can hear you based on the microphone placement. If you can afford this microphone--it is a bit expensive--it is well-worth the money. What may be a detour, however, is the color of the microphone versus the color of one's skin. As an African-American, I knew the tan Sennheiser would not be suitable. My desire was to have the microphone blend in to my skin tone as much as possible. The black Sennheiser (HSP4) seemed to be my only option. It actually may stick out more than the tan.

[Metal] I'm an Orangetheory Fitness Coach and prefer not to share mics with other coaches. I bought this specific headmic and I love it. I wish the headset would come in a protective carry-case, especially for what it cost. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the quality of the sound and the comfort of the headset.
