Featuring a V-mount battery plate, the Dracast Pro Series LED500 Daylight Light Panelfrom Dracast Pro Series LED500 Daylight Light Panelis an ideal choice for the location or studio work where color accuracy, control, and flicker-free output are of major importance. The LED500's daylight-balanced output is well suited for outdoor work or color-matching HMI fixtures, while its high CRI of 96 renders colors with precision and fidelity. Dimming from 0 to 100% is conveniently done with a back-panel knob that adjusts the output with negligible color shift. The low electrical draw of just 30W means a timely return on your investment.

The durable anodized aluminum frame is supported by a sturdy, U-shaped yoke with locking knobs on each side and a standard 5/8" receiver. This compact 12 x 6" panel can be used worldwide thanks to its included 100 to 240 VAC power adapter. You can also use the onboard V-mount battery plate with 14.8 VDC batteries when mains power is unavailable. Accessories include optional 4-way barndoors for contouring and control of the LED500's 45° beam angle. A carry case is included for convenient storage and portability.

A: Yes. This should work well. However, it really depends on what camera settings you will be using. A: Gary, It depends on the battery. One Watt-hour runs one Watt for one hour. At full power this light draws 30 Watts. If you dim it down at all it will draw less. A 150 Wh battery will run this light at full power for around five hours. Q: 6. Does the battery get charged from being on when the unit is using AC so then you can use it outdoors? I don't see any cable to hook to battery directly.

A: You have to charge the battery separately to use it remotely, it does not charge while on the light. You can use AC plugged directly into the unit for powered use however.

[Daylight] I purchased this light after a videographer friend of mine recommended it as it is lightweight and portable so I am able to take it with me to different photo shoots. I must say, I am pretty impressed. The color accuracy is spot on unlike my other LED panel I had before this. The lighting I get from this daylight is as close to natural sunlight as it gets. With it's consistent color temp and lightweight / portable features I must say this is the best light I have gotten my hands on to this day. Looking forward to purchasing another one as a back up for shoots. 5

[8.55 lb] The LED500 Pro from Dracast is an optimal choice for those that work on location or within a studio. This is due in part to its only weighing 4 pounds as well as its ability to produce an exceptional balance output and color matching HMI. Its CRI is able to render 95 colors with impressive fidelity and precision. A back panel knob is able to easily adjust dimming (100-0%) as well as negligible color shift output. The frame of the light is constructed of long-lasting anodized aluminum and receives support from a sturdy U shaped yoke that has locking handholds on either side along with an average 5/8 inch receiver. Since it is equipped with a 100-240 VAC power adapter, this lighting option is able to be utilized globally. Additionally, the Gold Mount battery plate with 12 VDC batteries can be used in the event that a main power source in unavailable. [5600K] I was finding something similar to Dracast and ended up taking this product. I should say that it is a great lighting for professional work and works superbly. I was looking for a panel which was easy to carry and then someone told me to buy these. It was an awesome experience altogether. This light has a high CRI and a perfect color. Will surely recommend it to all. 5

[45°] Have used the 500 and 160 Dracast in factory, stores, kitchens, studio and more with great results. Good quality lights, color matches well, works well blended with Mole and Arri hot lights. They're very portable which is critical on factory floor and in tight spaces. Wouldn't leave home without these lights in the kit now. 5

[8.55 lb] I shoot video courses for my wife's company's website (--------------). After white-balancing problems with cheaper lighting, I sprung for Dracast LEDs and am very satisfied. I started with three 160s which were adequate for most talent lighting, but quickly added two 500s (all daylight 5600K) to deliver true white backgrounds. Since I bought the lights separated by several months, I was concerned that the light color might vary slightly, but that was not the case. The lights are all with 50 degrees Kelvin of each other. I now mix and match them as needed. Infinite adjustment with dimming. Quick and simple to set up. Stands on the LED500s are sturdy (tho the nylon stand bag could be improved). LED500s are most effective with barn doors, which are required to hold DRACAST LED500 filters. Filters (for both 500 and 160) are also helpful to diffuse light on talent as necessary. I don't use the tungsten filter, so can't comment. Am very pleased with these lights! 5
