It is designed to accommodate ten people who need to communicate wirelessly while simultaneously working with their hands. The Pro16 version of the UltraLITE line-up features a long 10-hour battery life and a 1/2-mile line-of-site operating range.

UltraLITE Pro16 all-in-one wireless headsets can link up to 16 users in full duplex without a base station or hub. Designed with a lightning-fast microprocessor that provides two channels of simultaneous hands-free communication, the Pro16 allows separate groups to speak privately. Connect your entire crew in a full duplex conference with the simple touch of a button. The Pro16 talking pattern is easily modified in the field or expanded to accommodate your changing needs.

The Pro16 has been engineered with Active Frequency Hopping technology. This specialty wireless technique allows the headsets to monitor the surrounding environment and automatically switch channels whenever necessary to easily avoid interference. The operating range has been increased three-fold to over a 1/2 mile line of sight.

The UltraLITE headsets have the transceiver built right inside the earcup, eliminating headset wires and belt-worn radios. They provide two-way voice communication and the microphone arm can swivel 270°, allowing you to wear the mic on the left or right side. Raising the mic boom into the up position automatically mutes the microphone.

A fortified mic assembly, featuring internal metal construction and stainless attachment hardware is now standard. The new deluxe earpad is extra wide, soft, and weather resistant. New, large-capacity lithium-ion polymer batteries provide an impressive run time of up to 10 hours.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How many headsets i can use with one Hub ?

A: We bought a system that came with 5 headsets and the hub and I bought a separate headset and added it! Great Systems!

Q: 2. Can I add two headsets to my set?

A: Yes you can have one more headset without any additional hardware needed. If you need more then 5 headsets add the hub in the link bellow and that will allow you to use up to 8 headsets at once. If in the future you need more then 8 simply add another hub by connecting the two it will give you room to add 8 more headsets. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1269407-REG/eartec_hub_mini_duplex_transceiver_base.html

Q: 3. Sir this 5set of talkback will work without hub

A: Yes, it works flawlessly. I use it in theater environment. All 5 headsets respond with clarity and volume.

Q: 4. Hello, I'm wondering if this system carries a PUSH-TO-TALK feature or are all of the headsets continuously open?

A: This system uses the POSITION of your microphone, as in:Position microphone UP = mutedPosition microphone down (front of mouth) = talk and continuously open until you move the mic back up again

Q: 5. the extrenal hub gives you more covered distance and better signal? im afraid of having interference on concerts with 2000 cellphones around...

A: The Eartec UL4S UltraLite system operates in the 1920 to 1930 MHz range. 900MHz, 1800MHz and 1900MHz frequencies are not used in the US with the exception of 1 band using 1900MHz. Most cell phones in the US operate in the 800MHZ frequency range. So the risk of any problems with cell phones is pretty much slim to none. Not to mention the protocols are different between cell phones and professional duplex intercom and IFB systems.

Q: 6. Is there a device to extend the signal when walls or balconies are in the way e.g. in an old theatre or in a stadium)?

A: I don't think you should have any problems as long as you are within the distance they are made for. In an open space they are good up to 1312'. Also they are not bluetooth they run in the 1920 to 1930 MHz range.

Q: 7. if I use 4 entire sets of this unit in a common space for 4 different user groups. will they work flawless without any crosstalk or interference.? also can I connect 2 or more Hubs together to get a larger common user group?

A: No, it is not possible to use four separate Eartec systems simultaneously in the same general open space because they would interfere with each other. However, the signal is not able to travel through walls or floors, so if the systems are placed far enough away from each other with walls or floors between each system, they could be used at the same time. But in one open space multiple systems cannot be used at the same time. It is possible to link two Eartec Hubs together to create a larger single wireless intercom system that will accommodate up to 16 users.

Q: 8. Can you get program audio into these?

A: No. You cant.

Q: 9. Can two of the headsets be used on their own without the hub? How do I make one a master and the other link to it without the hub? Instructions online show how to do this on a different model.

A: In his set up, the headset that connects to the hub with a cable is always the master headset. You would have to get a separate wireless master headset to use for a two-person set up, without a hub.

Q: 10. Can more remote headsets be added to the master or is 4 the max?

A: More headsets can be added.

[10 Hours] I wasn’t expecting from a system at this price. I usually use a ClearComm system costing $12K. I even asked B&H if the product could be returned if not satisfied. I had 30-days. I received the 5-set Comm System 3-days prior to a 4 Cam shoot in a theater setting. I recorded for 3-days in a very loud environment with all actors and orchestra on wireless com’s. The Eartec. System worked flawlessly. Communication was crystal clear with plenty of volume. Battery life easily covered a Three hour show and set up. Headsets are comfortable. Build is very plastic like so not sure about durability. But I am definitely keeping this set. A great buy so far and at a fraction of the cost of a Telex/Clearcom system. I purchased the single ear configuration. During louder parts of the musical room noise made it difficult to hear. However, an earplug in the left ear solved that issue immediately. I would recommend this product to any production team.

[ADPCM / 32 b/s] These are great coms on a budget. I had an issue with one of them pairing out of the box. The Eartec customer service number is right on the soft carrying case, they walked me through the programming process in a couple minutes to get all four up and running. I will definitely add another headset and down the road upgrade to the hub when I need it.

[1.152 Mb/s] There is no other headset system that comes in this price range and is that good at what it does!! Absolutely important for all kinds of filming! I cant belive I have been flying Drones professionaly and had been working without these!

[3 Hours] I replaced some older EarTec's with wired headsets - no wires is much nicer. They eliminate static, but require a minimum level of speech volume to pick up - so you can't whisper too quietly if the event requires it. Otherwise very nice and lightweight, comfortable to wear.

[Mono] Coming from the broadcast world, doing small to medium events. Really wanted to get away from wires and belt packs. These were the only cost-effective realistic solution. They worked great. We used them day in and day out. The batteries charge fast. The range was good. If you get enough people and enough staging in the way, of course you're going to lose reception over a couple hundred feet and how many walls. But I never felt like they were oversold in terms of range. I love these things, they made our work lives easier and better every day.

[10] We've only had this system for a few weeks at our church, but it has made a huge positive impact for our production team. We have tried using walkie-talkie solutions, but they didn't come close to what we needed. It was worth the price to be able to have everyone on the same page throughout auditorium and backstage areas. We have a large space with concrete walls that aren't always the easiest for things like Wifi and cellphone signal, but these have no problem picking up.

[950 mAh] I read multiple reviews of the Eartec UltraLITE Headsets prior to purchasing.

My first impression after unboxing was that these feel more like a toy than a production environment tool. The $22 battery replacement cost also is a bit of a red flag. It's a proprietary battery so third party batteries aren't an option.

In the past I've had to rely on hand signals or my production team members actually paying attention to move from live interviews to prerecorded scenes during livestreams. Not anymore.

These simply work, despite their amateur appearance. Since they operate on the 1.9 GHz spectrum, I've never experienced dropouts or interference when in use.

You can't toss them around like regular headphones. They not as well built as headphones. Keep them in the protective case when not in use and remove the batteries as recommended when not in use.

I'm sure other companies make a better built headset, but at a much higher cost.

If you treat them with care and follow the recommendations, these should provide you with several years of worry-free operation.

[16] Broke in this four station system on a middle school musical and it worked like a champ. Clear crew comms for a reasonable cost. Can't speak to how durable they will be but they started out as exactly what we needed.
