A: You can use this with a SATA III drive to format drives or use them as external backup drives.

A: As per G-technology, the SATA connector might be slightly off. G-technology recommends that you get a USB adapter where the SATA and Power connectors are separate as opposed to a single piece as the adapter might not fit. However, you are welcome to purchase and try it out.

A: This would not be the cable. You would need a micro USB 3.0 cable such as the one below.

If I buy this product with a SSD samsung 256 (850 pro)... is this going to work with both computer ?Before I buy the OWC Mercury elite pro mini hard drive enclosure + the SSD Samsung, i want to make sure i'M o.k. Don't want to buy the OWC for nothing even if i can use it after that for other hard drive...I have picture (lightroom), small editing video so I'm looking for a hard drive...Thank !

A: USB 3 is backward compatible to USB 2. USB 3 plugged into USB 2 will only work at USB 2 speed, but the plug's the same. Plug a USB 2 into a USB 3, & it's the same. It should be fine, just won't be USB 3 speed.

[USB-A Female] Right-angled connector USB cables are not easy to find, but B&H has them, and I like them. The cables get stiff in the cold (I use them outside), but for this particular cable, it doesn't have to move when in use, so that's not an issue. 5

[USB-A Female] I use the short (6) stubs for those annoying otherwise-unusable ports on USB hubs mostly. These stub cables seem to be sturdy and of above-average quality. The female receptacles are tight, but that's a very minor quibble. So, no complaints (and believe me, I'd complain if warranted! I frequently voice invective at the producers of dumb software, especially the op-sys ;-). So far, I've not had any complaints about anything I've purchased at B&H, and I hope that it stays so. I can't say that with a lot of stuff I've bought elsewhere. 5

[USB-A Female] Do you ever need to plug in a usb cable to your computer but the cable is a tad bit short. This cable does the job. I was hooking up a few sub device and after running the cable I notice that the cable were short but I didn't want to get a long usb extension cable. This item was perfect. Highly recommended. 5

[USB-A Male] Just what I needed to connect to the car USB port. I keep this connected so I can plug the phone USB into this. This way I don't ruin the car's USB by plugging/unplugging many times. The cable is well made. I like the latches it has on one end for a secure connection. 5
